Combermere Abbey has 7 luxurious award winning properties surrounded by historic parkland on the Shropshire/Cheshire borders. Six are centred around a 19th century Stableblock and one is a beautiful gothic lodge. Experience self catering '21st century style' and take the hard work out of your hard earned break in well-equipped and beautifully decorated cottages. You can book one or several properties, making it a quiet retreat or a joyous 'houseparty'.

Beckett Cottage is our largest cottage sleeping 6, but with dining for up to 27. Imaginatively decorated, it has a large, high ceilinged sitting room with fireplace with original beams, large dining room, kitchen and private terrace. It sleeps up to six in three bedrooms.

Stapleton Cottage incorporates the original tack room, and has a spacious sitting/dining room with attached kitchen. A downstairs bedroom and ensuite shower room is perfect for assisted disabled or mobility issues. It's upstairs double bedroom has an en-suite bathroom. It sleeps 4.

Cotton Cottage, one of the original cottages, has a private garden with lovely views of the park and sleeps 4 in two bedrooms. An elegant sitting room has a dining alcove, comfortable sofas and wood-burning stove. The double bedroom has a romantic four poster bed and ensuite shower in a tower! A second twin bedroom has a private bathroom.

Wellington Cottage also has a private garden with views towards the Abbey and Park. Sleeping five guests, it has a warm panelled sitting room with log burning fireplace and separate kitchen. Upstairs there are two double bedrooms and a single room.

Empress Cottage is an elegant spacious cottage with separate private garden, large sitting room with original stable features and modern kitchen. Two stylishly decorated couble bedrooms sleep 4.

Poole is a cosy, warm corner cottage with wrap around garden, comfortable sitting room and separate dining room, which sleeps 4. The bedrooms have bespoke furniture and quirky designs.

Stone Lodge is a beautiful gothic cottage at the entrance the Estate with private entrance, sunny terrace and damson orchard. Stylishly decorated and very private, it is a perfect retreat.

The cottages have all mod cons and are 5*. They have the use of a large walled garden, barbecue area and woodland walks. Full details on the website.
