The historic market town of Chesterfield acts as the gateway to the Peak District, and has much to offer visitors. The town is famous for its 14th Century church with "Crooked Spire", twisting curiously from its true centre, while the frequent bustling market days are ideal for exploring the many different specialist shops and stalls which line the old Market Hall and charming Shambles beyond. We chose this area to access Bakewell, Chatsworth House and Mam Tor easily. It's a shame there is no direct yard or garden access (we did know this before booking), so I wouldn't visit in the summer as I like to have outside space but it was clean and functional for our Easter weekend as we were out all day and came back to sleep! We had a lovely welcome from the owners, and a starter pack including milk and wine!

It is just far from local shops. Would love to stay whenever I book my holidays again very pleasant stay.

Would highly recommend for couples as it was cosy stay in the middle of nowhere. It was very clean and tidy, plenty of on site facilities for cooking etc. Only gripe was the internet/wifi but as I say it was for work purposes so needed a good internet connection. Overall very satisfied with my stay
