Guests consistently praise Barolo Lodge for its cleanliness, comfortable beds, and the added luxury of a hot tub. The property managers, John and Mel, are commended for their pleasantness and responsiveness. The lodge's location is appreciated for its proximity to a pub and the beach, enhancing the stay. While minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is highly regarded, with many guests planning to return.
Reviews frequently highlight the lodge's cleanliness, describing it as 'spotless' and well-maintained. This suggests a high standard of cleanliness that guests value.
The location is praised for being quiet, peaceful, and close to the beach and a pub. Some guests mention a busy road, but it does not significantly detract from the overall positive perception of the location.
Comfort is a strong point, with guests finding the beds comfortable and the lodge warm. However, a few guests mention hard settees and bright emergency lights affecting sleep, slightly lowering the score.
Facilities are generally well-received, especially the hot tub. Some minor maintenance issues like a loose slab, sensitive smoke alarms, and a problematic kitchen tap are noted, indicating room for improvement.
While guests appreciate welcome gifts such as tea, coffee, and biscuits, not enough reviews explicitly mention these gestures to accurately score thoughtfulness. Therefore, it's important to note that such gifts, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.
