Nestled in a small hamlet in the hills 10 minutes from Penzance and 20 minutes away from St Ives, situated in the picturesque area of the Penwith Heritage Coast and AONB, is this stunning barn conversion. Trezelah Garth has been completely renovated to provide friends and families alike with a wonderfully comfortable and attractive holiday home, while still retaining some of its period features, such as the exposed beams and thick stone walls. With all rooms on the ground floor, you will have easy access to the three well-presented bedrooms, (there is a step up to one of the bedrooms) which offer a king-size bed, a twin / ziplink super kingsize bed, and one twin bedroom. All bedrooms boast their own en-suite shower room, so no queuing and as much privacy as you want. The owners have installed a wifi booster system to ensure internet is accessible in the bedrooms. The property opens up to a delightful open-plan living space, with plenty of seating to relax and unwind, while catching up with your favourite shows or discussing the events of the day. The dining area has seating for six and makes for a wonderful social space to enjoy your home-cooked meals, prepared in the modern and well-equipped kitchen. Outside has a newly landscaped terraced rear garden partly enclosed by stone Cornish hedges with a terrace and lawn with plenty of furniture to sit out and enjoy the space, the weather, and refreshments. Off-road parking is available for three cars. One of the main attractions of Trezelah Garth is the close proximity to a range of bustling towns and villages that are full of character and charm, while also being tucked away in the lush Cornish countryside. With the cultural amenities of Penzance nearby, and St Ives being only 7.5 miles away, don’t miss the chance to visit both towns and Tate St Ives. There is easy access to north and south coastal walks, local footpaths through the rolling countryside, and there are also a range of seaside activities available nearby. There is horse riding on offer nearby and down on the coast at Mount’s Bay. There are excellent places to eat in the nearby villages and Tremenheere Kitchen at Tremenheere Sculpture Garden. Only 2-3 miles away, Gulval also offers pretty Victorian granite houses and the Coldstreamer Inn. In another direction lies the pretty village and church at Ludgvan and The White Hart pub. To the North you can find Zennor and Gurnards Head both boasting excellent eateries to reward you during or after a busy day exploring. In Penzance you can find the Penlee House Gallery and Museum, home to a number of paintings of the Newlyn School artists. The Newlyn Galleries also host thriving arts activities. The open air Lido has been renovated and is preparing to provide a heated pool. And the RMV Scillonian is based at the harbour for trips to the Scilly Isles. If history is your thing, then you can explore fascinating mining museums, and just up the road from the barn is Chysauster, the remains of an ancient village amazingly similar to the farmsteads that are dotted around the county today. There are also numerous gardens such as the National Trust’s Trengwainton Garden nearby and other less well known places to discover yourself. And then of course there is the traditional reason for visiting Cornwall – the beaches and coves. You can treat your little and not so little ones to a day out at the beach and get surfing. There are surf schools at many beaches but you can just do your own thing, and simply enjoy a swim and play a variety of beach games.
Return to Trezelah Garth for a relaxing evening with your loved ones in front of the wood-burning stove or relaxing outside watching the sunset.
