Guests say

Guests appreciate The Wesley Apartment for its prime location in Wells, Somerset, offering easy access to local amenities and attractions. The apartment is frequently described as spacious, well-equipped, and comfortable, with many guests planning return visits. While some guests mention issues with cleanliness and maintenance, the majority report a clean and welcoming environment, often enhanced by thoughtful touches such as wine and flowers.

Most guests found the apartment to be clean and well-presented, though there were some concerns about the thoroughness of cleaning, particularly regarding dust and kitchenware. The feedback suggests room for improvement in ensuring consistent cleanliness standards.

The apartment's location is highly praised for its convenience, being within walking distance to the city centre, shops, and attractions. The availability of parking is also appreciated, making it an ideal base for exploring Wells and the surrounding area.

Guests generally find the apartment comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable beds, although there are comments about the need for better mattresses and the inconvenience of two single beds pushed together instead of a true super king bed.

The apartment is commended for its amenities, including Wi-Fi and parking. However, some guests noted issues with maintenance, such as the shower and kitchen appliances, suggesting a need for attention to detail in facilities upkeep.

Guests often mention the thoughtful gestures of wine and flowers upon arrival, which contribute positively to their experience. While these gifts are appreciated, it is important to note that such personal touches, though delightful, are not guaranteed for every stay.

It's very comfortable and ideally located for the centre of Wells, being only a 10 minute walk to the Cathedral and Bishop's Palace. There is also a very handy Tesco Superstore which is literally a 2 minute walk away, and a Waitrose which is just 3-4 minutes drive. The only slight glitch with our stay was a problem with the hot water system. However, a quick phone call to the owner Stuart, who is a charming gentleman and very helpful, and the problem was dealt with.

It is in a perfect location for us as we love to walk into Wells & it has parking. The apartment is so light, spacious & very quiet, perfect for a relaxing stay. If only it felt a little more cared for & had a 2nd comfy sofa instead of 3 ( nice looking) but uncomfortable chairs. It would be perfect in every way. However this doesn’t put us off coming back, we’ve already booked a 4th visit.

Still quiet, safe, warm and spacious. Great location, walking distance to Wells and with parking. Maintenance is required in places especially to the shower room and there needs to be deep cleaning to less used kitchen items, place mats etc. Bedding and towels show signs of wear/ marks. We needed to supply our own soap for one of the bathrooms and also washing up liquid, but no biggie. The new washing machine is great but unless the rubber seal is dried out thoroughly and cleaned between stays, it’s likely to be quickly mildewed as it was already a little smelly of damp and stained, it’s only a few months old. We addressed this during our stay but needs to be kept on top of. None of this detracted from our stay at all, all minor, and we would stay again.
