Holmer Farm is a well-received cottage in Herefordshire, praised for its cleanliness, peaceful rural setting, and thoughtful touches. Guests consistently mention the generous welcome hamper, comfortable furnishings, and dog-friendly amenities. While one review notes practicality issues with the bedroom in the roof space, the overall sentiment is highly positive, with many guests planning to return.
Guests consistently describe the cottage as spotless and immaculate, indicating a very high standard of cleanliness. The property is maintained to a level where even after pet stays, it remains extremely clean.
The cottage's location is frequently described as peaceful, quiet, and rural, with beautiful countryside views. It is appreciated for its proximity to local attractions and walks, although one review mentioned the narrow lanes took some getting used to.
The majority of guests find the cottage comfortable, with a cosy atmosphere and a well-equipped kitchen. However, one review cited the bedroom in the roof space as less practical due to limited headroom, which slightly impacts the comfort score.
Facilities are generally regarded as excellent, with a well-equipped kitchen and thoughtful features like a stair gate for dogs. The generous welcome hamper is frequently highlighted. A few minor critiques, such as the lack of a DVD player and the bedroom layout, suggest room for slight improvements.
The thoughtfulness of the hosts is a standout feature, with many guests expressing gratitude for the welcome hamper. It should be noted that while such gifts are greatly appreciated, they are a gracious gesture and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

The bed is so comfortable and the bedroom itself is fresh and modern. A lovely room walk into. The owners are on hand if needed (we didn't need for anything) and they gave us use of their beautiful Meadow which our greyhound LOVED and made fab use of her free zooming. Fabulous quiet spot with stunning views and walks. Thank you for our lovely stay.
