Guests say

2 Sea View Cottage in Pwllheli is praised for its tranquil location, proximity to beaches and coastal paths, and its well-equipped kitchen. Guests appreciate the cottage's charm, the sunny garden, and the scenic walks available right from the doorstep. While some guests have concerns about cleanliness and maintenance, the overall sentiment is positive with many expressing a desire to return.

Cleanliness received mixed reviews. Several guests reported the property was not as clean as expected, with specific mentions of dust, dirty bins, and a musty bathroom. However, others did not raise cleanliness as an issue, suggesting inconsistencies in standards between stays.

The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, beautiful scenery, and proximity to beaches and walks. The cottage's setting in North Wales & Snowdonia is considered ideal for a relaxing holiday, despite some comments about overgrown hedges and narrow lanes.

Comfort is generally well-regarded, with guests finding the cottage cosy and the beds comfortable. There are a few mentions of a lack of certain amenities, but overall, guests seem pleased with the comfort provided.

Facilities have room for improvement. Guests mentioned the absence of a washing machine despite it being advertised, and some struggled with using the kitchen appliances. The new kitchen and the heating system are appreciated, but suggestions for additional utensils and clearer instructions indicate a need for better maintenance.

There is insufficient information to assess thoughtfulness as there are no specific mentions of gifts or special touches provided by the hosts. Therefore, this score cannot be accurately determined.

The bed is very comfortable and the cottage is well equipped. The sun rises directly behind the cottage and sets directly in front of it. It's a 5 minute walk to the coastal path which has stunning views. We tried the Indian restaurant, the local chippy and had a very nice kebab... all very nice.

The cottage was dusty. The kitchen needed a good clean. You have to move the rubbish bin to be able to stack the dishwasher!I found remnants of breakfast cereal under the sofa! The bathroom was cleanish but the floor was very dusty. The seal on the shower door was broken. The bed linen was ok but one of the pillow cases was marked with black streaks. Towels were small. The chest of drawers in the main bedroom only had one empty drawer. The windows were dirty inside and out. Instruction booklets for microwave, cooker etc were not evident. I eventually found the booklets hidden in a drawer in the kitchen. No instructions as to what to do with general rubbish and recycling. The cottage is in a lovely position and very near the beach but needs to be to be throughly cleaned before guests arrive.

Our first time was in June , on that occasion we did have to complain regarding the stained pillows etc . This had been rectified to a good standard . Enjoyed the stay on both occasions
