Guests say

Guests have found the cottage to be a cosy and homely base for exploring North Wales, with its proximity to local attractions and walks being a highlight. The presence of a friendly local pub nearby is frequently appreciated, and the owner's responsiveness and welcoming touches have been well received. Some guests have mentioned issues with parking and maintenance, but these do not detract significantly from the overall positive experience.

The majority of guests have reported the cottage to be clean and tidy. There are a few mentions of the carpets needing attention, but these are isolated comments within the context of otherwise positive feedback on cleanliness.

The location is highly praised for its beautiful setting and convenience for hill walking, beach access, and proximity to North Wales attractions. The local pub's closeness is also a plus. Parking challenges are noted but do not significantly impact the positive views on location.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, with cosy touches and a homely atmosphere. Some concerns about bed quality and a need for minor improvements are mentioned, but overall, the comfort level is deemed satisfactory.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and adequate room arrangements. However, there are comments about maintenance issues such as a dripping tap and the need for a deep carpet clean, which suggest room for improvement.

While some guests have mentioned receiving a welcome pack and other thoughtful gestures, such as a bottle of wine and a welcoming message, these are not consistently reported across reviews. As such, it is not possible to accurately score thoughtfulness based on the available information.

The microwave location could be better. On the positive side the cottage is surprisingly spacious and the location great, we didn't have to travel very far whether we were going to a beach, historic town, a walk in the local mountains or go to a nature reserve. We didn't attempt the garden parking as we were always able to park easily on the road with a very short walk to the cottage. We had a very good meal at the Fairy Glen Hotel and will go again when in the area

However it could do with a bit of care to improve it further. A welcome book with useful info would be good, a garden that is tidied up, a new mattress in the main bedroom (springs felt the rough existing one), plug in bath doesn't open without a butter knife, and the single bed had lots of dog hair in it - we had to wash the bedding upon arrival and try to get it dry by bedtime as my daughter has eczema, and it wasn't pleasant finding another family's dog's hair in her bed. Having said the above, we really did enjoy our time there and if these minor things were fixed we'd be keen to return. It's a good sized house very close to a lovely pub and play park in a stunning place with good walks and runs from the doorstep.

The cottage suited our needs perfectly. The only slight downside was the parking.
