About this property

Harlech 1.2 miles. A wonderful detached bungalow, benefiting from an elevated position overlooking Shell Island and the Cardigan Bay coastline in the pretty Welsh village of Llanfair, just over a mile from the historic castle town of Harlech in the stunning Snowdonia National Park, North Wales. This superb cottage has been fully-refurbished to a high standard throughout and offers stylish accommodation, providing an excellent holiday home for couples, friends and being arranged all on one level is great for those who perhaps would otherwise struggle with stairs. This quality cottage has a spacious sitting room with some wonderful views, comfy seating and a heart-warming wood burning stove, perfect for those cosy nights in watching your favourite films. The superb well-equipped kitchen is spacious and open up to the dining room, creating a great space to prepare meals together and enjoy. All three bedrooms are airy and fresh, with comfy beds to make sure you get a good nights sleep, all serviced by a bathroom, and there is an additional cloakroom for added convenience. There is ample parking to the front and a garage providing secure storage for bikes and kayaks. Enjoy this surprisingly mild climate, and wander out into the front garden, where a choice of sitting areas display wonderful vistas to sit and admire with a chilled drink. The Zig Zag path takes you down to the peaceful and virtually unused southern end of the beach. There is something to suit everybody in the local area; the unspoilt beaches at Llandanwg, with rock pools and miles of sandy beach at Harlech are within easy walking distance. You can visit the majestic castle in Harlech, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and indulge at one of the towns many shops and restaurants. You could use the pool or climbing wall at the leisure centre or have a round of golf at the Royal St David’s Golf Course next to the sand dunes. Alternatively, visit the popular seaside resort of Barmouth for a fun-packed day at the beach as well as visiting Porthmadog, Portmeirion and Criccieth which are all within easy reach. A superb location from which to explore this delightful area anytime of the year.

Llanfair is a village in the Gwynedd area of Wales. Set within the beautiful Snowdonia National Park which has a number of popular sites that must be explored. Also nearby is the stunning coastline where you can enjoy some long walks and cycling opportunities. Right on your doorstep is a delightful sandy beach, perfect for some watersports. Travel further afield for some pubs/restaurants and supermarkets to pick up your amenities.

This is a wonderful cottage in a beautiful location. The views are stunning and it is so peaceful and quiet. The cottage is in a very convenient location, with walks nearby and towns only a quick drive away. It is much bigger than it looks on the outside, and is incredibly well equipped. We loved our holiday here. Thank you once again, Jamie!

There were cobwebs in the bedroom right at the end, behind the door. There were a few spiders and cobwebs in the bathroom and one silverfish appeared. The sink in the bathroom could be a little bigger otherwise I would have a shower everyday. The oven we were unable to use due to it being dirty. No green scourer to clean in the kitchen. Owner had to bring us dishwasher tablets as none was provided. The recycled bin was put out on Tuesday for collection on Wednesday and it still wasn't emptied by Friday. But we found the property very spacious and comfortable. And the log burner was working either. (Do we get a reduction for not using the log burner)
