Saint Spiridon or Agios Spyridon is it is otherwise known is based around two wonderful bays with sensational views over to the hills of Albania. It is a family-friendly resort with some restaurants, tavernas and a crazy golf course. Close to Saint Spiridon is the lush Nisos Forest and a pretty nature reserve. The nearby village of Kassiopi offers excellent tourist amenities and great nightlife. Apraos, closer to the villa, is sometimes referred to as Kalamaki as the beach is also called Kalamaki Beach.
Villa Ivory’s main villa is a two-storey property with two bedrooms, one a double and the other a twin. There is a shared bathroom and an open-plan living area. There are two semi-detached bungalows, both with two bedrooms. Within its stone walls and colourful shutters, the decor and fittings enjoy a comfy rustic feel with character in abundance. The open-plan living area enjoys a rustic, old-world kitchen, a living space with a feature fire, two sofas and a television. There are some bright colour splashes amongst the exposed stone walls and traditional stone tiled floors.
Upstairs there are some lovely balconies with views. The two bedrooms within the villa share a traditional bathroom. Outside the villa, there is a terrace for alfresco dining. The two bungalows are close by. On entering through a covered porch which overlooks the swimming pool, there is a kitchen, living area and shower. The main bedrooms in the bungalows are at the rear of the bungalows plus there is a mezzanine bedroom in each with two single beds, reached via a stair ladder. There are three family bathrooms in total in Villa Ivory and its bungalows, one with a bath and shower and two with showers plus there is a separate toilet. Outside there is a large 11m x 6m swimming pool with a clear feature panel which is surrounded by loungers, other outdoor furniture and a barbecue where your barbecue masters can prepare a feast.
The cottage, or second villa, boasts two bedrooms, a loft mezzanine with a single bed, a living space and two bathrooms. Like the main villa, the interior is rustic in appearance with a feature fireplace, a country kitchen, tiled floors and beamed ceilings. The loft mezzanine is reached from one of the double bedrooms so is best suited to a child. The second double bedroom offers twin beds. The complex is lovely and very private. There is a slightly steep path of fifty metres which leads to a beautiful, peaceful and almost private white pebble and sand beach. It is a magical spot with calm, crystal-clear water and plenty of fish to look out for. The main beach of Saint Spiridon is only five hundred metres from Villa Ivory. Villa Ivory is a great pick for hunkering down and spending quality time with your family and favourite friends. You will feel the tranquillity fold around you as you relax in absolute peace and quiet. When you can bring yourselves to leave your very own piece of Corfu paradise, Kassiopi, Perithia, Acharavi, Roda, Sidari and Peroulades are all close by.
Villa Ivory is located very close to the centre of Saint Spiridon and its lovely bays. The main beach is only five hundred metres from the villa and enjoys soft sand and calm, turquoise water. There are two tavernas and a mini market. There are many villages nearby including Perithia, Acharavi, Avlaki, Apraos and the lively Kassiopi.
The dramatic Mount Pantokrator overlooks Kassiopi. With pretty narrow streets, a stunning harbour, the ruins of an ancient Byzantine castle and an excellent array of cafes, tavernas, restaurants and shops, this once-quiet fishing village is a must-visit. Kassiopi boasts breathtaking views out to sea towards the Albanian coast. Visitors enjoy delightful, tranquil walks around the headland.
In the centre of the north coast, you will find Acharavi, a delightful resort which also enjoys a wonderful variety of shops, bars and restaurants. These are sprinkled along the central street and along the beach promenade. Acharavi’s 3km golden sandy beach stretches the whole length of the town. Visitors enjoy a wonderful selection of beach bars. There is a water park that is only a seven-minute drive from the villa.
Avlaki Beach sits on the other side of Kassiopi. It is a tranquil resort with a pretty pebbled beach that enjoys dappled shade from the pine and olive trees that are sprinkled along it. Avlaki Beach enjoys some watersports and a few tavernas that serve delicious food.
Paleokastritsa is rumoured to be the mythical island of the Phaeacians and the Bay of Paleokastritsa is the place where Odysseus disembarked and met Nausicaa for the first time. The monastery in Paleokastritsa dates back to 1225 and is home to an interesting museum which houses the holy and precious relics of the monastery. It stands on a sheer hillside brimming with trees and olives facing the deep blue sea. The resort is very hilly and nestles beneath the folds of steep verdant slopes of olive groves and citrus orchards. Saint Spiridon is the most famous beach in Paleokastritsa.
The ghost village of Old Perithia is close to the villa. On the slopes of Mount Pantokrator, at an altitude of 650m, Old Perithia is a wonderful place to visit. The village was originally established in the 14th century, during the Byzantine times. Most of the buildings were built in Venetian style but today most are ruined. In the central square, there are some tavernas open.
