Head to the nearby market town of Keswick which is just 5 miles down the road and home to independent shops full of local goods and gifts, as well as plenty of cafes, ice cream shops and patisseries to indulge in a sweet treat. There's even the famous Theatre by The Lake, showing productions in an inspiring, atmospheric setting. Surrounded by natural beauty, the nearest lake is Derwent water and is less than 1 mile s walk from the centre of the town.
