Nestled in the idyllic harbour town of Fowey in Cornwall is this delightful three-storey house, Driftwood. Enjoying a fabulous central location with easy access to all local amenities and boasting beautiful river and town views, Driftwood makes for a wonderful dwelling for a group or family of up to six. Step into the property where, on the ground floor, you will find two well-appointed bedrooms, a super-king size with TV and en-suite shower room and a twin with TV. On the first floor you will find a spacious open-plan living area with a well-appointed kitchen including electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, and dishwasher. A dining area has plenty of room for six to sit at the table. The inviting sitting room area offers a smart TV and a charming window seat with superb views over the town, historic Place House and the River Fowey. A family bathroom with bath and shower over is also on the first floor. On the second floor is a generous double bedroom with far-reaching views. The bustling town is only a short walk from the house and there you will find a good selection of pubs, restaurants, and cafes in what is increasingly becoming a foodie hotspot. There is always plenty of sailing activity on the water and you must catch the regular foot ferry over the river to check out the quaint cottages and alleyways of Polruan. For a day out at the beach it is just a brief stroll to Readymoney Cove where you can enjoy the sandy beach with its popular café, paddle the clear waters or just soak up the views. Walkers can join the South West Coast Path within minutes and there are plenty of local circular walks giving splendid coastal and harbour views. Driftwood is an ideal choice for the whole family and a perfect base for exploring at any time of the year.
South Cornwall's little hamlet and civil parish sits at the mouth of the Fowey River. An important commerce hub was established in the town's estuary thanks to the River Fowey's natural harbour. The harbour and its environs are brimming with things to see and do. Everything from boating and fishing to golfing and learning about the area's history can be found in this charming town. There are regular harbour tours that depart from the town's quay during the summer months, but if you'd rather to get out on the water yourself, you may hire a kayak or paddle board and set out on your own adventure!

Such a wonderful view from the bay window. Very comfortable and had everything we needed and more. Great location for town and local beaches. Lovely to be able to just to walk to such a great array of shops, restaurants, and pubs. Only thing we wondered was there seemed to be a condensation issue on the walls in the main suite bathroom. Even with door open and fan on. Not sure if the correct paint has been used on the walls. Other than that would definitely recommend to friends and family, and would also return ourselves. If you wish to publish please feel free to remove the paragraph about the condensation/paint as this did not detract from the stay.

The layout worked extremely well for us, with four adults plus baby. We know Fowey well, so easy access to the many cafes and restaurants, plus the beach at Readymoney Cove, was much appreciated - and knowledge of Foweyâs hills and tight streets helped us plan vehicular access.
