A delightful, 300-year old, stone-built terraced cottage, in the very heart of the pretty Dales village of Horton-in-Ribblesdale, home of the famous Three Peaks, 6 miles from Settle. A delightful Three Peaks cottage, set across the road from one of the village's two traditional pubs, the cottage retains much original character, with wonderful beamed ceilings, a feature stone fireplace with warming multi fuel stove, and three cosy bedrooms, creating a very special atmosphere which exudes olde worlde charm. It had everything you could possibly need and more. We loved cosy evenings in front of the fire after long walks with the dogs during the day. We also spent time visiting the Ribble head viaduct and had a fantastic lunch at the Station Inn as well as ingleton, Hawes and Settle. We will definitely return.

Welcome bottle of milk, prosecco and home made flapjacks plus dog biscuits for the four legged friends. We could not fault a thing. Very enjoyable stay at Harber Scar.

Very well equipped with comfy beds. Perfectly situated for walks from the village and a 5 minute walk from the station for further walks along the Settle Carlisle route if you don't want to use the car. Welcome goodies much appreciated! Garden dog friendly - but do check the gate to the road is closed. Dogs appreciated early morning and evening 'business' walks in the big fields over the bridge on the right hand side. Only complaint was the midges - but you can't do anything about that! Would certainly consider returning.
