Guests say

Zoey Cottage in Skipton is highly praised for its cleanliness, stunning views, and proximity to local attractions. Guests appreciate the comfortable accommodations, well-equipped facilities, and the warm welcome from the owner. The scenic canal walk into town and the peaceful farm setting contribute to a relaxing holiday experience, despite minor maintenance issues and the occasional lack of welcome gifts.

The cottage receives high marks for cleanliness, with numerous guests noting its spotless condition. There is, however, a single mention of cleanliness issues which seems to be an outlier.

The location is consistently lauded for its beautiful views and easy access to Skipton and the Yorkshire Dales. The canal-side setting is a highlight, although one review mentions the walk back at night can be challenging.

Comfort is well-regarded with mentions of a warm, cosy atmosphere and good beds, although there are comments about the firmness of sofas and mattresses that suggest room for improvement.

Facilities are generally praised for being well-equipped and comfortable. However, some guests noted minor maintenance issues and suggested additional kitchen equipment, which slightly lowers the score.

While the reviews reflect a positive experience, there is insufficient information regarding the provision of welcome gifts to accurately score thoughtfulness. It is noted that gifts are not guaranteed and their presence or absence should not be expected.

About this property

This welcoming mid-terrace cottage is just a short walk along the canal from the centre of Skipton, and comes with charming country views. There’s a lovely sitting room with an open fire, and a dining kitchen with patio doors making the most of the beautiful views towards the distant fells. Upstairs are two spacious bedrooms, both with first-class en-suites and far-reaching views skimming over the canal to the open countryside beyond. Along with the private, enclosed garden is a spacious grassed area adjoining the moorings, offering an ideal place to watch the narrow boats make their way down the waterways. A lovely cottage in a memorable location. Note: This property is next to Refs. 12552, 913341 and 913346, together they sleep 20.

Skipton is known as The Gateway to the Dales. The town is home to a high street with lively market, many tea rooms and an ancient castle, plus canal trips can be enjoyed or visit Embsay Steam Railway, which is just one mile away.

We did the canal walk to Skipton quite a few times, it's only a mile to the centre of the town. A great location for the surrounding villages and towns, such a beautiful area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back! Thank you.
