  The property was lovely and clean.

  It's in a fabulous location with lovely views. We had problems with parking, arriving late at night we didn't notice the disc zone sign on the arch as its not lit up. There we no lines o parking restrictions notices on the road where we parked, next to the triangle, so 2 out of our 3 cars got fines. This was also after I rang Steve number, the number supplied on the back of the door to ring if any problems, he said it was OK to park there. He also informed me that he is no longer in charge of the property. The large front room was very cold, the thermostat is in the hall and kept knocking off when the small hall had reached temp. Maybe a suggestion would be to move the thermostat and get some warm curtains to cover the large glass windows. The master bedroom definitely needs larger bedding. It appeared to be a double quilt on a king-size bed. It did not cover us well at all. The instructions to open up the property need to be re wrote. I maybe my mistake, followed the instructions step by step whilst carry out the process, I didn't read ahead. We climb the 4 flights of stairs with our cases to find out then that the key to the appointment was being the drain pipe down stairs. Maybe this could be mentioned first. Parking in the allocated spot is also very very tight to get into and out. Finally I was sent an e mail each day reminding me to strip the beds when we leave. However I do think when paying 360 for a 3 night stay this should be covered in your cleaning cost. Please advise people of the public SBC parking opposite for ove rnight extra parking at £10. 50 for 24 hours it's much cheaper than the 2 parking fines we received. It's a lovely spacious appointment and very very clean, we appreciated the games and had great fun playing them, we also left pne of our games to add to the collection as we had such fun with your games.   My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at this property, and I must say, it truly exceeded our expectations in every way.

  From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the immaculate cleanliness and meticulous attention to detail throughout the entire property. It was evident that the staff takes great pride in maintaining a high standard of hygiene, instantly making us feel at home. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted with a thoughtful welcome pack that included refreshments and drinks, setting a delightful tone for our stay. The kitchen was a fully equipped, boasting an abundance of facilities, from pots and pans to washing machines and dryers, all of which were well-maintained and easily accessible. The beds were incredibly soft and comfortable, ensuring a restful night, and the room's thoughtful amenities, such as hair dryers, lamps, and alarm clocks, added to our convenience. The location was ideal, offering easy access to shops, restaurants, numerous attractions, and the beach. Despite its convenient position, the property remained pleasantly quiet, providing a peaceful retreat. The only minor downside was the parking situation. Although we were provided with parking permits (much appreciated), finding available spots was challenging due to the area's zoning rules. While this did pose some inconvenience, it's understandable and doesn't reflect on the property's quality. However, future guests should be aware of this aspect if travelling by car. In conclusion, I highly recommend this property to anyone seeking a clean, comfortable, and well-equipped place to stay. The combination of excellent facilities, attentive service, and cosy accommodations made our stay truly memorable. We will definitely be returning and eagerly recommending it to family and friends!   The caravan itself is very nice however the following let our stay down 1) We arrived late on the Friday and went straight out shopping.

  Upon returning during unpacking we realised the caravan had not been cleaned. Towels on floor, bedding stained, bathroom dirty and generally dirty. It was too late to report to Sykes. We ended up sleeping on fleeces and in our clothes. Not what you expect when paying over £700!!! We were compensated but that's not the point. The next day when the cleaner arrived she admitted to missing it on the Friday!!! 2) On the Tuesday the main TV free view stopped working saying no signal. The owner did send instructions which didn't work and then the site manager came round, to try and fix it to no joy. The owner arranged for someone called Billy to ring us, however as it was 9.30pm I didn't answer. He sent me a message asking to turn off at mains and leave off overnight. I was to ring him the next day however I didn't due to my next point. 3) There is a very busy main road near the site and the caravan is very close to it. The caravan is noisy even through the night. I am partially deaf and I could still hear it!! I would like to say though that the owner did everything she could to help us. However I would not return.

  We had a fantastic stay at Harbour Lodge.

  The flat is over 2 floors and feels really roomy. We were 3 adults and 2 children and it felt very spacious. Each bedroom has lots of space and loads of wardrobe/cupboard space to unpack into. It was absolutely spotless when we arrived. There is everything you need in the flat, the kitchen is really well stocked to make meals. Having a dishwasher and washing machine is a real bonus. The sofas are comfortable to sink into after miles walked around Whitby, and the TV is really modern so you can stream anything you want. We didn't watch much as there are lots of games to play too or books to read. The views from the master bedroom are wonderful of the abbey and estuary and I already miss not waking up there and looking out. The flat is in a brilliant position, a very short walk from the main town and to the beach, Co-op is 5 mins away which was helpful. Having the safe underground parking was a real bonus. We really enjoyed our stay and time in Whitby and would love to visit again.

  Pros = This was a lovely holiday home for us and our four grandchildren!

  They loved the apartment and took turns to sleep in different bedrooms throughout our stay! The place was lovely and clean and we loved that there were some buckets and spades that we could use! We did replace these - 3 spades and 1 bucket - for the next family to use! Cons = Lots of stairs that were harder to climb by the end of the week! We couldn’t work the shower over the bath! The ability to ask for a later checkout time would have been great. We could have done with just one extra hour! Trying to organise 4 children to eat, wash and be out by 10 and go up and down all those stairs to pack the car (with the cleaning team waiting for our car to move) meant that our otherwise wonderful holiday ended in a very stressful way. The children were too young to carry all the bags and packing and so everything was done in a rush. To be fair the cleaning team weren’t at all impolite but were obviously keen to get on with their duties.
