Hiking
There are many hiking routes for those looking for a more significant challenge than a walk. The Kinder Scout Plateau Circuit is 19 miles long and has an ascent of 650 meters. When you reach the summit, you will get the best view of the Peak District. The downward trip returns you safely to Edale. Another demanding hike is the 29 mile Peak District section of the Pennine Way, usually completed over two days. The ascent is 1200 meters with various terrains, from smooth pathways to slippery moss. There are a variety of routes, some harder than others.
