What our customers say about their holidays
Mark - Verified booking
The overall stay was excellent.
The flat is full of character and decorated with care. The views were second to none and the location in Ironbridge itself was truly special. There was a few things which could make slight improvements. - it said on the listing there was a washing machine but there wasn't. We did plan on washing some of our young son's clothes, it's not a massive issue but it's to bear in mind. - a welcome basket would have been a nice touch. We arrived quite late, meaning we couldn't grab any bits for the morning. Some coffee, tea bags and milk satchets would have been nice. This isn't a deal breaker by any stretch and didn't spoil the stay. - some of the cupboards felt a little 'lived in.' the cleaning cupboard under the sink was what you would expect to find at home, Christmas tree in the storage space and spare bulbs etc. again, it's fine but a little attention to detail would really elevate this already brilliant property. - parking was a little tricky at times as the road leading up to the property and parking area was tight. If you have a bigger car (which we do, unfortunately) it can be a bit touch and go with the walls! - having said all that, we loved staying here, the location was great and perfect for our needs. The flat was lovely, well presented, comfortable and spacious. We'd happily stay here again.

The Butler's Quarters is a well designed and lovely 'bolt hole' to stay at while in Shropshire.
The owners (Chris and Kate) welcomed us on arrival and gave us a quick low-down on the area, as well as a tour of the 'quarters' - there was even an inclusion of a well-stocked welcome hamper (big shout-out to the cake which was well and truly devoured!). The accommodation had all of the amenities you'd need (as well as a few more) with a big squishy sofa and wonderfully comfortable bed! This was a last-minute booking, and you often run the risk of being disappointed, but we can honestly say we'll be back again. The location is perfect for visiting the surrounding areas, as well as being incredibly peaceful with excellent views (for those, like us, who wanted to hunker down for a few days). For a couple in need of some rest, relaxation and the occasional trip/walk, we couldn't recommend The Butler's Quarters more! Thank you Chris and Kate for a lovely holiday

Kate and Chris were SO friendly and welcoming; and quite apart from the benefits of the apartment itself, made the stay.
Kate was suggesting events that were happening locally in Much Wenlock (worth an explore), and just generally being hospitable, whilst also leaving me to do my thing. The apartment itself is very spacious and a perfect base for exploring Shropshire. The downstairs room has a large dining room table at one end, and sofa and tv at the other. The well appointed kitchen is on a 'mid-level' floor, and has everything you need, should you want to cook. Up some more stairs, above the downstairs room is the bedroom and bathroom; both spacious. The bed is comfortable, and there are lovely views. Because it is over 2.5 floors, it's not ideal for folks who aren't great with stairs.

Lovely accommodation and very friendly owners.
Set within its own secure courtyard a first floor spacious apartment accessed via outdoor safety steps and a few stairs as you enter vestibule but then all on one floor. Immaculate and tastefully decorated throughout with quality furnishings and appliances. Very light and airy feel. Wifi excellent. Comfy beds. Ensuite shower room in double room. Superb bathroom opposite twin room. Piping hot water and thick towels. Bonus of own private garden area, with shed containing chairs, overlooking fields. Found the chairs and couch a little hard as we like squidgy ones, but might be great for others. Highly recommended. Blissful week during the mid July heatwave. Many thanks

We loved it.
We were made very welcome. The Butler's Quarters were spacious and comfortable, had the manor house character but the facilities were modern and clean. There is such a variety of things to do and see in the area that we are planning to book again, and I have never re-booked a holiday in my life. Also, Shropshire is much more affordable than the Cotswolds and just as nice! Great days out within a short drive in any direction. Here's what we did: Walk up Brown Clee, Shrewsbury including a tour of the Prison, Attingham Park, RAF Cosford, Whitewick House, Bridgnorth town, and West Mids Safari Park.
