Paddle Boarding on Lake Padarn - great family fun, enjoyed the train from Porthmadog to Ffestiniog but found Snowdon very busy.</span>

  Extremely quiet and comfortable property with really friendly hosts. Two issues which were not a huge problem. Although crockery was in plentiful supply, cutlery were short if a dishwasher was to be used - teasons (4) and 4 knives, forks, spoons which is exactly the number for max guests. Please make it very clear that there is no wifi in the property and the phone signal is poor bacause of remoteness. In 2022, we take it as granted that this would be provided. I would not have booked this property if known.

  Arrived at the cottage all was fine until on our first night the central heating stopped working due to a faulty boiler. We reported this to the owners and they tried for approximately 4 hours to fix the problem. Unfortunately the boiler was not repaired therefore we had leave the cottage and go home with only having 1 nights stay. Also the cottage is advertised with Wi-Fi which didn’t exist. Was disappointed with the owners who didn’t offer a partial refund.

  Many amenities listed were either missing or not working.

  2 Coffee machines listed but only one present, which continuously overflowed. pool table was missing bits and was in a poor state. also i would have expected a property of this size, in an outdoor activity centered place such as north wales, to have a washing machine. admittedly i did not check this when booking so thats on me but i would advise anyone planning a week of outdoor activity to select somewhere with facilities for cleaning clothes.

  We liked the cottage very much. The owners were helpful. The location was well placed for visiting Snowdonia, coastal resorts, castles and Anglesey. The cottage had plenty of windows (including some velux) which made it feel light and spacious. The outside seating area was useful and was adjacent to the garden and a field. The beds were comfortable. We would recommend the cottage to others and would like to return.
