  Access to the property was very easy without any problems as was unloading since the drive and the front door were very close.

  The photographs and description were accurate and it was exceptionally clean and tidy. The owner lives in the village and she dropped by a few hours after we had gained entry to check that all was as it should have been. She also explained how to switch on the heating if it was required. We found the kitchen was well equipped for our needs and the garden set up would have been wonderful if the weather had not been so wet. The beds were comfortable and the shower worked well with plenty of hot water whenever we needed it. The heating worked well for the two evenings when it was colder than expected for the time of year. The kitchen diner/sitting room is very spacious and comfortable as was the smaller sitting room at the front of the house. TV reception was good and both the televisions have a range of apps for streaming depending on your subscriptions. The wifi worked very well in all areas of the house. Rainbows end is close to the centre of the village which has a small general shop that is open in the evenings and opposite is a public house (0.5 miles walk) that serves good local beer, food and non-alcoholic drinks. In addition there is a small coffee shop but it is closed on Monday & Tuesday. There is a second public house based on the nearby Shropshire Union canal that also offers accommodation and food (0.5 miles walk along the towpath). The nearest supermarket (&petrol) is 1.5 miles away just past the local Premier Inn ( called the Chester Central south east Premier Inn hotel). All in all a great let and since we have family nearby we hope to be returning at some stage.

  We were very happy with the holiday home at Rainbow's End.

  We wanted a place that was within striking distance of Liverpool but at a reasonable price and this fitted the bill. It was well proportioned, modern and clean with all the facilities and utensils you could wish for. It was a home away from home during a difficult time. We were grateful for the kindness of the owner who met us both at the beginning and end of our stay and made us feel very welcome. We can heartily recommend this holiday home!

  I was on holiday at this property from Friday 27th 2024sept until 4 October.

  2024 The property is very clean and there is every utensil you will require for self catering if you wish. All rooms are very spacious. As are the living areas Lovely garden with tables and chairs in a covered area behind the garage. I met with the owner Hillary who is a lovely lady., The property is situated in a very quiet area, If you are thinking of visiting Chester for a holiday I would highly recommend this property,

  In this case, the answer is a resounding yes! The holiday home is perfectly situated, met all my expectations, and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay.   There was everything we needed and more. Just the perfect location for sightseeing in Chester, Liverpool and surrounding areas. People were so helpful and friendly. We only stayed 4 nights but would have liked to stay longer. Would definitely recommend this property,
