  Just returned from a lovely few days stay in Warkworth at Rebecca house. Very comfortable with good furnishings in the lounge and spotlessly clean, with very comfortable beds. We appreciated the facility of the ensuite bathrooms, family bathroom and cloakroom. All the niceties of toiletries and lots of towels being supplied. Such a luxury. A beautiful hamper with some quality fresh bread, scones and cakes had been left in the kitchen which was more than our expectation. When we arrived the house felt so welcoming so warm with gentle soft lighting on making a lovely atmosphere. Very friendly staff at letting agent who answered our queries quickly and politely, a big thank you to them. We would recommend this property to anyone who wants to have a great base to explore this lovely interesting area, so much to see and do.

  This is our second stay in this lovely house, beautifully equipped and with a magnificent view of Warkworth Castle. We visited the Fish Shack in Amble, which was excellent and the lovely shopping pods. Had a good red wine at the Masons Arms and enjoyed Bamburgh beach. We visited Alnmouth yesterday and enjoyed the village, with excellent seafood from Northumberland Street. Visited Jaspers in Amble last night where the chef cooked us a fantastic range of seafood. Jaspers had a great atmosphere and really great quality fish. Today we visited Dunstanburgh one of the great UK walks. Then had a lovely time at The Jolly Fisherman at Craster, which served crab soup and seafood platers, which was excellent! We also visited Boulmer beach and will definitely be back, we all love Northumberland!

  Our 2nd visit to Magdalene House, this time bringing mum and dad on holiday from New Zealand. Beautifully presented – love the Temple Spa toiletries and hamper, and scones – such a lovely touch, thank you (especially the wine that was from New Zealand!). Visited the Church, castle, Bertram’s, Cabosse chocolate shop in Warkworth, and even bought some art from the stunning Fenwick art gallery – well worth a visit. Took trips to Cragside, Bamburgh Castle, Alnwick Castle and spent time on Alnmouth and Warkworth beaches – stunning. Scotts of Alnmouth was a lovely coffee shot to visit. Also lovely pub in Lesbury, The Coach Inn, and the kids enjoyed the Morwick Ice Cream Parlour/playground too! Lovely week, look forward to returning soon!

  Magdalene House is stunning, it is very spacious and beautifully furnished, everything you need is provided. We were welcomed by two beautiful hampers, one for us and one for the dog! The location in Warkworth makes it an ideal base for exploring Northumberland. Warkworth is a lovely little village, the river is beautiful and there are plenty of cafes and shops, its very close to the beach too. The house was spotless and we felt very reassured that everything had been thoroughly cleaned and adapted for these strange times. I can’t recommend Coquet Cottages highly enough. Their communication was excellent and the standard of their properties is second to none. Easily the best holiday property i have stayed in.

  We have enjoyed a fabulous week exploring Northumberland. We have visited Alnwick Garden and Castle – both excellent. We spent a day at Kielder Reservoir and surrounding area, including a visit to the Observatory. If you visit and need dinner beforehand, The Pheasant Inn at Stannerstown is very good – opens at 6pm. Hadrian’s Wall proved to be a great day out together with some of the forts. We only ate locally once, at Jasper’s Bistro in Amble. A lovely cosy evening with great food and staff – worth a visit and walkable if you like a glass or two with your meal! A day at Cragside is a must. We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this lovely, well-equipped house in a great location. Thank you.
