  Re information about the property - it wasn't mentioned that the property was on the second (or third?) floor and there were 4 flights of stairs up to it which were hard work when unloading and then loading the car and it would have definitely been a problem for a lot of people and impossible for some. There wasn't a toilet roll which I thought was a standard thing to expect to be provided but luckily we had taken some so it wasn't a problem All in all lovely accommodation with a lovely view and the parking space is a big plus and was one of the main reasons for choosing it Very good service and communication from Yorkshire Holidays/ Original Cottages

  Cleanliness: we found some tablets in our children's room down the side of the bed/bedside table. (Blood pressure or epilepsy) and a biscuit under the sofa. Luckily our children did not find the tablet sleeve. One of the windows in the master bedroom would not close, therefore letting cold air and rain water in. We love the location of the property and the layout of the property. Ideal walking distance into town centre and beautiful views of the river. We loved watching the boats, rowing boats and wildlife.

  Excellent holiday accommodation in every way. Exceptionally clean, ideal rooms layout, comfy beds, ample storage/wardrobes, lovely welcome pack and fabulous location. Really enjoyed the short 15 minute walk into the centre of Whitby at the start and end of each day. As you can see we thoroughly appreciated every aspect of ‘High Tide’ holiday home.   An excellent property in a great location 10 minutes walk to the town. Having on site parking with a reserved space is a great bonus. A great location for dogs with a short Riverside walk directly outside and a nature reserve walk directly accessed from the development. All equipment was in good order and the kitchen has everything you could need.

  High Tide ticked all the boxes for us. A dog friendly base within a stroll of town. The contemporary decor gave a light and airy feel to the apartment. The lift and private parking were a welcome addition and the view of the harbour at night and ability to watch the steam trains departing across the estuary was an unexpected bonus
