Josephine’s Cottage is absolutely precious! It has everything you could need and having an enclosed back yard made it so convenient if you have a dog with you. Heating worked well and there were logs for one night’s fire (along with detailed instructions on how to use the wood-burning stove, which was appreciated as it was my first time). It was great to have a washer and dryer. Parking was easy on the green across the street. The stairs up to the bedroom are quite steep and may not suit everyone. The one cafe in Great Walsingham is an absolute delight; the owners are lovely, and the food is delicious. There’s a great gallery right there, too. The cottage owners recommended a short circular walk to Little Walsingham which I second, and the Abbey in town had beautiful grounds, medieval ruins and fields covered in snowdrops. The only thing I would note is shower water pressure isn’t very good but all the other positives heavily outweigh that one negative. I had a wonderful stay - it was a fantastic introduction to North Norfolk. I was gutted to leave and hope to return soon!

Enjoyable stay in Coach House Cottage at the end of September with our dog. Ten minutes walk to the coast and lovely walks around and about including over to Sheringham and getting the Poppy Line train back to Weybourne station. We found the area quite dog friendly which was lovely, with cafes etc happy to accept a well behaved dog on the premises - especially useful with the changing weather! An added bonus for us was that for four nights we were treated to a wonderful display of the Milky Way as Weybourne is in the Dark Skies area. The Ship Inn - 2 minutes walk away - does a fabulous Sunday lunch but you need to book in advance....even before you arrive! Our stay was end of September/early October! Evening meals are also served some evenings - again booking essential. The village shop opposite is well stocked and also serves teas/coffees/ breakfast and snacks.

Have really enjoyed our stay in this delightful little cottage. Very compact and comfortable. Thank you for the welcome pack, a lovely surprise and a lovely touch. We have had a lovely few days, everywhere very dog friendly, and we have thoroughly enjoyed the beach walks and pine woods. Lovely weather which was an added bonus, enabling us to fully explore the area. We did the beautiful 'coastal walk' from Wells to Blakeney. We stopped off at Stiffkey (lovely pub called The Red Lion), continued on to Morston and went on the Seal Boat trip. Continued on to Bakekeny and got the Coast Hpper bus back. A beautiful walk, enjoying spectactular views of the marshlands, open fields and the boats. Would definitely recommend although comfy shoes are a must.

Really enjoyed our stay in Bay Cottage - as someone said, small but perfectly formed. V. hot in Wells at the moment, but cottage love3ly and cool downstairs which was good for our chocolate lab, Bailey. Would recommend walking to Wells Beach early in this heat - it's perfect at 8am! Cafe has a doggy shower. Pubs - 3 Horsehoes in Warham is wonderful and dog friendly. The Carpenters Arms - not a great range of gluten free, but v. friendly staff and lovely pub. Wells & Walsingham Railway is lovely, even without kids and you can stop in Walsingham for an hour and get another train back. Eat pancakes on The Albatross - gluten free options too. Wells is gorgeous. Cottage in perfect location.

Perfect holiday cottage for a birthday weekend treat. Cosy and warm with everthing we needed. Arriving late on a Friday it was such a treat to find a welcome bag, coffee, tea and milk in the fridge. Despite the wind we walked to Burnham Overy. Had a warming meal at The Hero. We didn't time it well for the bus so we walked all the way back. The beach is so beautiful all the way, we didn't mind. Stopped at The Lookout at Holkham beach - such a peacful place to have a coffee and watch the birds. Wells is such a pretty little town with good shops and charming Christmas lights. We will be back in the warmer months.
