  PERFECT I have just returned from a fortnight at Shore View (although I had booked the property for a fortnight to get some work done I intend to return at some point this year for a holiday).

  The cottage was modern, warm, clean and very comfortable. The wi-fi connection was solid (I worked from here, including zoom meetings, all with no problems). What is brilliant about the cottage (apart from the obvious sea views) is how near EVERYTHING is, my car was hardly used the two weeks I was there. The beach is a short stroll down the street, the train station is across the road (45 minute direct train into centre of Edinburgh if you want to throw in a city break to your beach holiday) there is a restaurant and a pub (with outdoor seating area looking out to the sea) right next door (so no worrying who can't drink and has to do the driving) – have a meal, a drink watch the footie then just cross the path and your home. There is a corner shop at the other side of the cottages and a few yards further down the street a well stocked co-op shop. The cottage sits just behind the Fife Coastal Path, which is a well marked and busy path, that goes for miles along the coast. It really is a perfect little holiday spot!

  It's truly perfect!

  We held our wedding ceremony and reception at East Lothian Estate, and also spent the entire weekend there with our closest family members. The place is breathtakingly beautiful! We felt like we were in a different world! Many of our guests complemented the beautiful grounds and the house itself. We always knew we wanted somewhere secluded, peaceful and private for our wedding day - and we couldn't have found a more perfect place. The staff were amazing. Excellent communication from the minute we enquired about visiting the place as a potential wedding venue. Someone was always on site should we need any help over the weekend but they were also never in our way, again just what we wanted for the pre & post wedding celebrations. On the wedding day itself they even help my wedding planner set up the ceremony area! I cannot recommend the place enough! It's truly perfect!

To stay at East Lothian Estate is to step inside history itself, yet lose nothing in the way of modern convenience or luxury, with beautifully fitted accommodation, reception and lounge spaces. Outdoors, the grounds offer an immaculately maintained curated expanse to rest and unwind in - complete with croquet, golf and winding trails. We had a wonderful restful week at the house as a group of friends, exploring and enjoying the surrounds, warmly hosted by Graham and his team. A superb option whether for corporate, family and wedding. Thank you for having us!

  I recently had the pleasure of spending a weekend at the East Lothian Estate, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the elegance and charm of this historic property. The manor's beautiful architecture, combined with its serene surroundings, provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I could not help but feel like we were about to embark on a journey into the noble past with a touch of class and aristocracy. Each room had its own private bathroom, the bedrooms were all clean, the grounds were impeccably maintained.
