  Marys Cottage is really lovely.

  I loved every minute of my stay there, it had everything I needed and was very comfortable and cosy, and the kitchen was very well equipped. On my arrival there was a homemade loaf , scones, jam and clotted cream on the table with fresh flowers dotted about , perfect start to my holiday. Lockdown was announced during my stay but Sykes website was informative and I found out that I was able to finish my holiday and not have to cut it short. Obviously lots of places closed but that didnt bother me as I went away to chill. I found some beaches that I could still walk on and there were takeaway places for a coffee or pasty and the supermarkets were open to buy provisions ! All in all a perfect break during strange times . Thank you Sue and Mark the hosts for allowing me to stay in their lovely cottage. Very sad to leave .

  The cottage is excellent : comfortable, well-equipped, peaceful and the owners very happy to please.

  However, we had no idea about the 43 steps down to the property. As we are both in our late 70s and my husband has mobility issues, before booking we checked the access with Sykes Collages both through the on-line chat and speaking to Martin directly. We were told the only steps were two or three to the front door. This totally ruined the enjoyment of our holiday. Although we had help with our luggage, from very helpful electricians working on the property on arrival and from the owners when departing, the worry about ascending and descending the steps clouded everything. We understand that representatives from Sykes visited the property several times while it was under construction, so there is absolutely no excuse for this vital piece of information being omitted from your website.

  We had a wonderful stay at Mary’s Cottage.

  A beautiful and peaceful setting on the farm. Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming and it was a lovely treat that our host made delicious home made scones with cream tea for when we arrived. The cottage is so cosy and comfortable, with an extremely well equipped kitchen. There were lots of board games which we really enjoyed playing as a family. The cottage is in a great location for the beach at coombe martin, watermouth castle and other family attractions. Also lots of local eateries and country pubs with great food.

  We felt that Mark, Sue and Chris the owners of Marys cottage exceeded our expectations.

  There warmth and passion in all they do on the farm is magnificent . The love and care to all the animals is heart warming. The engagement they gave us was wonderful. We have a special needs daughter Sue and Mark gave her opportunities to experience farm life close up. This is a farm with a big heart. Sykes asked me to vote for then as a good provider which they are, I feel that Sykes should offer a reward to good cottage owners as this one would have the Mason vote. Thank you Mark and Sue for a terrific week.

  Lovely place to stay, we met Lindsey the owner who was really helpful - the accommodation was really comfortable with everything you need for a relaxing holiday, parking right outside the property.

  Hele beach a few mins walk away so nice to stroll down with our little dog who absolutely loved it! the weather wasnt great but we had the best time, spent lots of time in Ilfracombe which was lovely. Pubs, cafes, shops, and beaches...And nearby Woolacombe , amazing dog friendly beach!!! and Combe martin a sweet place to visit. we ventured all over the place - Clovely, Appledore, Braunton, Croyde, and more ... and each time came back to a lovely home with a beautiful view <3 10/10
