  Cottage was not very clean cobwebs in every room, even the double bed headboard was covered in dust. wooden floor had not been washed in months, decking was very slippery when wet and broken in many places, not been steam cleaned in years and not maintained in years, No smart TV in lounge, and unable to watch dvd's and not connected to TV. Shower in twin room was blocked, with hair and gunge which we had to clear ourselves so that the water could run away. Very annoying blue night light that comes on automatically and stays on all night in the hall and all ensuites bathrooms, no option to turn this off . Teddy bear Bedding absolutely awful very unsuitable, and very uncomfortable. Very disappointed.

  Our weeks stay at Lilac Lodge was perfect. We felt very safe (Covid related) as everything was highly organised and very clean. We knew what to expect as we had been fully informed by the lovely caring owners Cathy and Paul on how the cleaning of the Lodge would take place. The Lodge was perfect for two. Cosy, warm and in a delightful setting. We wanted for nothing! It is an ideal base to visit the many attractions North Norfolk has to offer and we loved our time touring around.......coming back at the end of the day to this little place that soon began to feel just like home.

  If you want a relaxing break away from civilization then this is the place for you. Tucked away in the forest with just the sound of nature from the minute you wake up till the time you go to bed. The tent was beautiful, fully equipped and very comfortable. There was four adults, 10 year old, 12 year old & 9 month old & we were comfortable with enough seating as well. Would highly recommend especially if your outdoor people. My boys loved exploring the woods & finding bugs. Thank you so much to Amanda & her team.

  Thank you for the wonderful welcome pack - what treats. We have had a great week in your very well equipped cottage. The best we have stayed in! The bikes were brilliant and well used. The weather was unbelievable - we have been so lucky. Have enjoyed exploring the area - Sandringham was superb. Went on the bus t King's Lynn which was convenient and reasonably priced - a lovely town - well worth a visit. Steak night (thursday) at The West Norfolk pub in the village was excellent.

  The place was quite great as you could really feel totally shut off from the usual hustle and bustle of the concrete jungle. Being in the middle of the woods, and surrounded by greenery everywhere makes such a difference and is quite relaxing. The ammenities were quite good as well and, being able to have camp fires in the night was quite memorable. Although the place can be quite chilly at night, there were heating blankets in place and the fireplace was quite handy as well.
