The facilities at Southdown Luxury Glamping are second to none. The accommodations was spacious, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully designed to provide maximum comfort. With plush bedding, a cozy wood-burning stove, and a well-equipped kitchenette, it felt like a home away from home—but with a far better view! The attention to detail was evident in every corner, from the tasteful décor to the top-notch amenities that made our stay feel truly luxurious. The private hot tub was an absolute highlight, allowing us to unwind under the stars in complete privacy. The surrounding environment added to the magic. We were completely enveloped by the serene countryside, where the only sounds were the gentle rustling of leaves and the melodic calls of local wildlife. It was impossible not to feel a sense of peace and relaxation, especially when enjoying a morning coffee on the deck. The location is fantastic, offering the best of both worlds—secluded and peaceful yet within easy reach of charming villages and beautiful walking trails. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the local area, but we also loved returning to our little haven at Southdown, where we felt utterly relaxed and rejuvenated. Overall, Southdown Luxury Glamping exceeded all expectations. It’s the perfect choice for anyone looking to disconnect, recharge, and enjoy the tranquillity of nature without compromising on comfort.   We had a fabulous week in Norwell.

  The cottage is exceptional and perfect for 2. The kitchen was equipped with almost everything you needed for a week's holiday (though serious cooks should perhaps take a couple more sharp knives). We mostly ate in and enjoyed using the large range cooker. The sofa is large and the garden is a little sun-trap. Yes, the shower room is small but it's of very high quality finish and my partner who is 6ft 5" didn't have an issue. We used the cottage as a base to explore Newark (lovely little town), Southwell and Sherwood Forest. Would very highly recommend a visit to the National Holocaust Centre about 15 mins away. Some absolutely gorgeous pubs in surrounding villages and we ate one night at the local which was hearty fare! For a really outstanding Italian meal go to The Carpenter's Arms at Walesby. We loved this cottage and whole area and we'll definitely be back!

  Quirky little cottage in a great area.

  Was a little chilly late afternoon with no instructions to alter the heating, having said that once the oven was on for our dinner it soon warmed the place up making it a lot more cozy. Lots of info on things to see and do in the area and with off road parking we didn’t have to worry about lugging cases up streets. Great for 2 people or 2 adults and a child ( I went with my mum) but think it would be too small for 4 adults as sofa was only big enough for 3 adults max meaning fourth adult would have to be on a kitchen chair. If going to the area again with my mum or partner I would definitely book this again but if going with my partner and another couple I would probably look for something with a bit more space. Clean and tidy with everything you need. Would definitely recommend to others looking to stay in this area.

  Newly built lodges in a peaceful, quiet setting.

  We booked a three week stay but couldn't stay in the same lodge as they already had bookings so had to move each week. The owner, Jane, was really helpful and ensured the next lodge was available early so there was no waiting around to move. All three lodges had views across the field where there was an abundance of wildlife. The lodges are ideal for all year round occupation - decking area with seating outside for sunny weather and very warm inside for colder days. Instant hot water was a real bonus and the ensuite showers were very effective. Excellent wi-fi connection. The location was ideal, just 10 minutes away from an array of supermarkets and the historic town of Newark and 20 minutes drive to Lincoln, with easy access to the A1. Would definitely recommend, thank you for a brilliant stay.

  We were amazed!

  I wanted to surprise my wife for our 10 year wedding anniversary and yes we both were surprised. The setting was beautiful! The accommodation was fantastic! The owners were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. It has lots of supermarkets, a petrol station and pub/restaurant around the area. It is about an hour away from a beach. Where we had a fantastic day out. If we didn't go out we could have a relaxing time in the hottub, play some games (that were provided). Then in the evening light the fire, have a BBQ and relax. We have already recommended to our friends and family and will definitely be booking again. Overall a relaxing, fun and romantic holiday! Thanks for having us. Bonus there was a massive swing for an adult to swing on haha!
