Guests say

Guests consistently praise the Art Space for its ample room, stylish decor, and prime location in the heart of Paris. The host, Julie, receives accolades for her attentiveness and the additional services offered, such as cleaning and private chef arrangements. The property is described as clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, making it a hit with families and large groups seeking a blend of historical charm and modern amenities.

The property is repeatedly described as extremely clean, with mentions of at least two cleaning services during a stay. The high level of cleanliness contributes significantly to guests' comfort and satisfaction.

The location is highly praised for being central, safe, and within walking distance to major attractions, markets, and restaurants. The proximity to pedestrian streets and the ability to explore Paris on foot is a highlight for many guests.

Reviewers find the property comfortable, with ample space for large groups and families. The various rooms and the large open floor plan allow for both privacy and communal gatherings, enhancing the overall comfort of the stay.

Facilities are well-received, with guests appreciating the well-stocked kitchen, washer and dryer, and the unique design of the property. However, some guests note that the layout with staircases and varying floor levels may not be ideal for very young children.

The host's thoughtfulness is evident in her responsiveness and the provision of services like cleaning and private chefs. While gifts such as flowers and champagne are mentioned, it is important to note that such gestures, while appreciated, are not guaranteed for every stay.

About this property

Spread across three creatively modular levels, the Art Space is a unique luxury space in the heart of the city. Located in Paris's vibrant 2nd arrondissement, the property is perfectly situated in a private plant-filled courtyard, basking in a haven of calm. Natural light floods into the Art Space from high ceilings and clerestory windows, including a dramatic floor to roof-top cathedral window, creating an atmosphere that is as luminous as it is luxurious.

Initially built in the 1870s, this 300m2 loft space was renovated from an abandoned printing house used by La Résistance to print newspapers and flyers during WWII. Now, the Art Space has been transformed into a unique destination, providing your own private slice of an authentic and refined Paris, a stylish sanctuary designed to welcome up to eight guests.

As you enter through the foyer, you're greeted by dramatic volumes, within which a spacious open-plan living and dining area boast a sleek design and contemporary décor. A cinema screen hidden behind the transversal Eiffel beam allows movie viewing in style.  The fully-equipped kitchen is perfectly suited for serving up everything from chic canapés to gourmet meals. Also located on the ground level is a bedroom with a shower room and toilet conveniently opposite. Meanwhile, accessed via a glass-top staircase, the lower floor offers the opportunity to work out in the private gym and rejuvenate in the relaxation room using the hydro-jet massage shower and sauna. Accessed via the same glass-top staircase is the 4th modular Queen bedroom.

Climb the stairs to the upper level to reveal an elegant mezzanine lounge replete with tasteful furnishings.  This floor, with its architectural floating passageways, offers a spectacular perspective of the Loft! This upper level also hosts two bedrooms, including the master bedroom with en suite bathroom including a sunken bath and rain shower, & a second bedroom with a half bathroom opposite. A balcony fitted with patio furniture and two bistro tables stretches along this level and can be accessed by both bedrooms.

Resonating with the property name 'Art Space', two original, story-telling artist murals underline the property's history and artistic ambience, bringing warmth and character to the Loft. One decorates the main Loft living room wall rendering tribute to the Resistance and telling the story of the printing house. Colourful and vibrant, the second accentuates the cosy cocktail ambience created on the upper level with Pascal Mourge's designer lounge chairs.

For your own light-filled oasis in the thick of the French capital, the Art Space provides for your every desire, and it does so in style. What's more, you can arrange an array of upmarket services from your very own private chef or wine sommelier to guided city tours of iconic landmarks, galleries, museums. If you wish to explore further afield, a high-end range of helicopter tours can be arranged to visit Versailles, the D-Day Landing Beaches in Normandy or you can even enjoy a champagne lunch in Reims.

A unique property in the heart of Paris, the Art Space offers luxurious space and welcoming accommodation for couples, families and groups of friends or colleagues.

Nestled in the vibrant 2nd arrondissement, Quartier Montorgueil on the right bank of the Seine is situated in the heart of Paris, within close walking distance of countless iconic cultural sites, including the Louvre, Centre Pompidou, Notre-Dame, and Les Halles. And yet, the district has a village atmosphere thanks to its cafes, restaurants, shops, diverse population, and trendy reputation.

The neighbourhood's pulsating yet charming energy is ideally suited for an authentic Parisian experience. Begin your day with a leisurely stroll along Rue Montorgeuil, a street bustling with markets, boutique shops, cafes and patisseries. Take a seat, order something delicious and watch Paris pass by. Or better yet, take your breakfast to the picture-perfect gardens of nearby Palais Royal.

Or take a short jaunt westward to trendy Marais' narrow, cobblestone streets, hidden courtyards and chic shopping, the perfect place to explore Paris's ever-shifting landscape of art galleries and fashion houses.

Take a stroll to the stunning new Rooftop Bar at the Madame Reve restaurant built above the Louvre Post-Office block and Pinaud's newly renovated Bourse de Commerce - an incredible modern art museum, both at the doorstep of the Loft. The nearby newly renovated Samaritaine department store also offers a unique luxury shopping and gastronomic experience in its incredible architectural spaces.

When the sun sets and cafes spill onto the streets, the neighbourhood provides ample opportunities to savour a glass of wine and watch Paris's peculiar habit of blossoming at night.

Montorgueil is truly unique for its eclectic mix of authentic, welcoming Parisian villages combined with new and lavish architectural establishments and experiential concepts, all visually stunning.

With the haven of Art Space at your disposal and the heart of Paris on your doorstep, your stay is guaranteed to have an authentic feel of refined luxury and urban living.

We enjoyed our month staying in Julie's gorgeous Arty Space and it was beyond fabulous. We had different groups of friends coming for a week at a time and every guest was blown away by the beauty of the flat and wonderful location. As an introvert, I was worried folks would be on top of each other but there was ample room for everyone to have their own space when needed and plenty of room for all 8 of us to gather together comfortably. Julie was the most fabulous host we have ever experienced. Once she learned our guest rotation, she offered to have her cleaning crew come in to change sheets and linens which was great. Anytime I had a question including the nearest Post Office, she responded right away. My husband wanted to join a gym and she recommended the one across the street which was great for him. She was very attentive to our needs and communication was great. She arranged for Chef Olivier to cook a few fabulous meals at the flat which was wonderful. Highly recommend. The flat location was on a quiet street with fabulous restaurants just a 5 minute walk away. We had the best of all worlds. Easy walk to the Monoprix, bakeries, cheese shops, etc. Easy walk to the sights as well as multiple metro stops. Checking in was easy, Julie was waiting for us at the flat and went over the appliances, lights and movie screen with us. She provided great directions from Gare de Lyon and to the location. Awesome host and flat, can't recommend highly enough!

We had an incredible stay at Art Space a couple of weeks ago - to the point where we keep saying, was that a dream?! My husband and I traveled to Paris with two other couples from different parts of the US and we were looking for a place with enough space where we didn’t feel like we were on top of each other. The Art Space was perfect. It was quiet, but in the heart of everything, and was comfortable while having more than enough room for all of us. The neighborhood was the cherry on top, with more cafes and shops than you can count, just a block away. We joked that we could have stayed in our neighborhood and never left. Julie was an incredible host from the start. Her communication was superb and she went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. We really hope to go back some day!

Our family of 7 loved this place! We have kids ages 8 to 17 and it was absolutely perfect. From the beds, bathrooms and kitchen, we had everything we needed for a week long stay in Paris. Julie - the host/owner - is so kind and was quick to respond to all of our questions. She has a concierge team that set us up with great day trips and even a private chef that doubled as a cooking class for our family. The location itself is a standout feature. We were able to immerse ourselves in the authentic Parisian lifestyle as it is just one block away from the Rue Montorgueil which is a charming pedestrian street filled with bistros, pastry shops, fresh fruit stands and cool boutiques. It is walkable to The Louvre and centrally located to make it easy to catch an Uber to anywhere in Paris. Our teens loved being able to walk around the neighborhood in between our planned adventures. It is a very safe and chic place to be! We will definitely be back!
