Gaze out towards bucolic landscapes of the Dordogne with rolling fields, summer sunflowers and woodland surrounding this beautifully converted farmhouse around a 20-minute drive from Riberac and Brantôme.
Dating back 400 years, La Grange Blanche sleeps up to 12 guests across its six charming bedrooms (four with en suite bathrooms), split across three wings of this characterful home. A spacious lounge features a stylish L-shaped sofa contrasting original features and the vast contemporary kitchen will impress the keenest of cooks inspired by Périgord’s fine cuisine. A second snug is a relaxing place to read or chat with a glass of wine whilst a full-sized pool table can be found through the heavy barn doors!
Lay back on the poolside sun loungers as you look out towards fruit trees and scenic countryside beyond, before taking a dip in the swimming pool. Gather on the benches by the barbecue for shady lunches with family and friends or lingering evening meals as the sun sets and the clear night sky appears. The 2.5 acres of grounds are glorious with ample space to play, relax and soak up the tranquil environment.

The house has been beautifully restored and is a perfect blend of rustic elegance and modern comfort. The interior is spacious, well-furnished, and tastefully decorated. We loved that the house configuration (and thick walls) provided the ability to all hang out together but also to escape for some peace and quiet. One of the highlights of our stay was the stunning pool with its view of the countryside and comfortable loungers. The pool is surrounded by wide open grassed areas where kids can free range. When the summer heat forced a retreat the pool table offered a cool respite and some friendly competition. The location of the farmhouse is ideal for exploring the Dordogne region. We enjoyed several day trips to nearby villages, markets, and historical sites. For the outdoorsy folks there are plenty of short peaceful walks, longer hikes, running routes, canoes and river swims close by – next time we will bring the bikes! Returning to the peacefulness of the farmhouse each evening to sit under the trees with some refreshments while kids swam felt magical. Rob was super helpful in ensuring that we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and providing additional info on the area. His local recommendations for dining and activities were spot-on - La Cabanon was great!

Bella
Really lovely home, even better than the pictures and absolutely huge which was great for 11 adults to all have their own spaces to retreat to. We had a great week! The kitchen is perfectly equipped and the bedrooms were all comfortable. There are lots of lovely and very quiet walking routes you can do from the house and shops etc are only a short drive away. The pool was perfect and it really felt like a complete escape from reality for everyone to properly relax for the week. House was also very clean when we arrived which is always a relief. The owner is super helpful and provides all the information you need as well as being on hand if there are any issues (there weren’t). Felt like home from home and we enjoyed a happy week as a family.
