Guests have had a delightful stay at 1 Clancy Cottages, praising its comfort, cleanliness, and the welcoming hosts. The cottage's location is ideal for exploring Connemara, with convenient local amenities and beautiful beaches nearby. While some guests mentioned the lack of Wi-Fi and phone signal, the overall experience is highly recommended, with special appreciation for the well-equipped space and the helpfulness of the hosts.
The majority of reviews highlight the cottage's cleanliness, describing it as very clean and comfortable. One review mentioned stained linens, but this seems to be an isolated comment amidst overall positive feedback.
The location is consistently praised for being perfect for touring Connemara, with proximity to local shops, pubs, and beaches. The rural setting is appreciated for its tranquillity and beauty.
Guests find the cottage comfortable and cosy, with plenty of space and comfortable beds. However, one review noted old and flat pillows, which suggests a slight room for improvement in this area.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with the cottage being well-equipped. The mention of a lack of Wi-Fi and weak phone signal indicates that some modern amenities may be missing, which affects the score.
While the hosts are frequently mentioned as welcoming and helpful, there are no specific references to gifts or extra thoughtful touches that would fall under this category. Therefore, a score cannot be provided.
A delightful cottage dating back to 1800, which, having undergone extensive refurbishment, now provides modern, spacious and well laid-out accommodation. The comfortable sitting room is perfect for relaxing after a hard day exploring the delights of the area and the oil burner gives the room a cosy feel. Why not sit back and unwind with a glass of wine or two? Outside there is a beautiful decking area perfect for alfresco dining and a spacious lawn providing ample space to run about and burn off any excess energy, perfect for the little ones or the young at heart! The property adjoins Ref. 3707 and together they can accommodate 9.
The fishing village of Kilkieran is on the dramatic coastline in County Galway. It features a stone pier and from here visitors can watch the fishermen as they process the day's salmon and seaweed. There are unspoiled beaches just a short drive away, as well as the beautiful National Park of Connemara and the magnificent Connemara Loop. There are many lakes in the area so it is an angler's paradise, and if fishing is not your thing then there are plenty of walking opportunities to take in the glorious scenery. A little further away are the Aran Islands, and a boat trip across to the islands can give you a taste of traditional Irish life. This area is the perfect place to relax and escape for a while.

Comfortable cottage with everything you need. Close to the local shop who have what you might need with a friendly smile and a chat. Good local pub with good food (make a reservation) and the next pub a few Km further has great Guiness, craic and live music. Easy to recommend.
