Lakeview Cottage in Lettermore, County Galway, is highly praised for its cleanliness, stunning views, and tranquil setting. Guests appreciate the warm welcome from the owner, Sean, and the comfortable, spacious accommodation. The area's natural beauty and local amenities contribute to a delightful stay, despite some minor maintenance issues and erratic Wi-Fi. The property's lack of Wi-Fi and phone signal is seen as a positive by some guests seeking a peaceful retreat.
Guests consistently mention the property's cleanliness, describing it as 'extremely clean' and 'immaculately clean', indicating a high standard of hygiene and care.
The location is frequently highlighted for its beautiful views and peacefulness, with proximity to local beaches and the Gaeltacht area. However, some guests noted difficulty finding the property, slightly impacting the score.
Reviews often refer to the property as comfortable and roomy, with a cosy fire and welcoming atmosphere. A few comments about rattling doors in the wind suggest minor comfort issues.
While the property is generally well-equipped, guests have reported some maintenance issues such as problematic door locks and non-working radiators. The erratic Wi-Fi and lack of a fireside starter pack were also noted.
The owner's thoughtfulness is commended, with mentions of a warm welcome and provision of essentials like tea and bread. However, as these gifts are not guaranteed for every stay, guests should be aware that such kindness, while appreciated, may vary.
