Guests have praised the holiday rental for its cleanliness, homely comfort, and stunning location. The property offers a peaceful setting with breathtaking views, and some guests received thoughtful gestures such as wine and cookies. While some minor issues with facilities and maintenance were mentioned, the overall experience was highly enjoyable, with many expressing a desire to return.
The property consistently receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews noting it as clean and well-maintained. This suggests that guests are generally very satisfied with the level of cleanliness.
The location is frequently described as beautiful and great for exploring the Ring of Kerry. It's peaceful and quiet, with a golf course nearby, though some noted it's a short drive to Kenmare. The scenic views are a highlight, contributing to a high score.
Comfort is well-regarded, with guests finding the property cosy and beds comfortable. However, there were minor comments about bed sizes and water pressure, slightly lowering the score.
Facilities are generally good, but several reviews mention issues such as challenges with the heating system, lack of a DVD/CD player, and problems with showers. Maintenance concerns like the driveway condition and the need for a new hoover have impacted the score.
While some guests mentioned receiving gifts like wine and cookies, there is not enough consistent information across reviews to score thoughtfulness accurately. It should be noted that such gestures, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

Unfortunately, poor communication before and during my stay would prohibit me from recommending this to friends. Prior to my stay it was difficult to get information regarding picking up the key. During my stay I did not get any response to two emails sent regarding operation of the fireplace and washer. Apparently, there should have been an instruction book in the cottage but this was not the case.

Found it impossible not to flood the bathroom even with the shower head low and turned to the back wall apart from that it is a lovely house in a prime spot and we had a great time.

It is beautifully decorated cottage with good sized rooms and good facilities. The collection of cottages feels safe and it was so quiet with burds and wildlife all around. On the initial drive to the cottage, there were no signs for the cottages until we were practically there. You have to drive on a very bumpy track to the right of the golf club. We headed up the hill on the road and had to turn back. Cottage facilities were good. Once we had turned the boiler on, we had good warm showers. The location was great for us as we were in a beautiful spot, but we didn't feel too remote as we had some neighbours, although we barely saw anyone. We were a bit disappointed that the bar and restaurant closed for most of our visit. There appeared to be an event on one evening, but otherwise it was closed. No sign or anything saying if or when it would open. The view over the golf course was amazing. This location does require a car as it is about 4 miles to Kenmare, which is a fabulous town. The nearest bar Spillanes was also closed every time we drove past. There is a lovely rocky beach within a short drive. If you are blessed with good weather, there is a stunning beach (Paradise Found) about 45 minutes drive away. I really hope to return one day and I would recommend the cottage to others.
