This is a great option for a couple of families or groups of friends who would like to holiday together. Have the independence of separate accommodation and rent the annexe alongside the cottage too.
This charming property is just 4 miles from the small country town of Tallow for picking up daily provisions. Stop off for a coffee or have lunch at one of the pubs or restaurants. There’s a fine stone bridge crossing the Bride River, a very scenic spot close to the town. Drive out to Lismore, a heritage town on the River Blackwater. There’s plenty to do and see here. Take a guided tour of the town, visit the Catherdral which dates back to medieval times or hire a canoe and take to the water and gently paddle your way along the river. Lismore Castle is set in 7 acres of walled gardens from formal planting to wildflower meadows. If you fancy a spot of wild swimming the beaches are perfect and offer excellent snorkelling and rock pooling too. This really is a lovely area with so much to offer.
