Head to Belles Kitchen for a hearty feast or enjoy a drink with a view at Beachcomber Bar. Outdoor enthusiasts can spend their time exploring the Glenveagh National Park, offering miles of endless walking and hiking across beautiful country or head to Fanad Peninsula, starting off in Rathmullen and heading north to Portsaloon Beach where you'll experience some of the finest scenery in the county. During the summer months, catch the Swilly Ferry running between Buncrana and Rathmullan or for the adventurous few, hire a deep sea fishing boat and get sailing lessons in Rathmullan. Venture to the bustling town of Letterkenny, just a short drive away, and immerse yourself in the traditional shops, pubs, and eateries. Your escape to the Irish Sea Coast promises to be unforgettable at Sea Spray Cottage.

Nestled on the shore of Lough Swilly on the Fanad Peninsula, the quaint village of Rathmullan has a colourful history. It was from here that the last of the Celtic chieftains fled Ireland, now known as the Flight of the Earls, and there is an interesting heritage centre in the village commemorating this vital event in Ireland’s history. This sleepy seaside village offers a variety of local shops and pubs and a long sandy beach ideal for lazy days. The Fanad Peninsula is a haven for walkers, hikers and nature enthusiasts, and boasts a stunning coastline. The summer ferry crosses Lough Swilly to Buncrana, opening up Inishowen and beyond, and it’s only a short distance to the town of Letterkenny.

Definitely rough round the edges as others had commented. Spacious with a comfy sofa and good TV. Decent WIFI. For the price we expected better. Bathroom upstairs had a foul smell, cracked paint, lino floor lifting. Beds were rock hard, the worst we've had anywhere. Microwave was dirty. Cutlery drawer all crumbs, and cupboard doors haven't seen water in a while. Floor soaking wet on arrival. Would not recommend or return. Booking experience was also a nightmare, extremely difficult to get a response when we were trying to pay the remaining balance. Took days to resolve and whoever we dealt with was unpleasant and unapologetic.
