Narin 1 mile. This cosy detached cottage near Narin has been renovated to a high standard, to offer stylish and comfortable accommodation in one of Donegals most scenic regions. This lovely cottage has a well-equipped, fitted kitchen and dining area where you can rustle up delicious meals for your loved ones, and a welcoming sitting room complemented by a woodburning stove to warm any aching bones that you may have after a day of walking or cycling. Two comfortable bedrooms complete the accommodation so you can enjoy a good night's rest before the next day's adventures! To the rear, about five hundred meters from your cottage is the Kilclooney Dolmen, which lies on the owners land and dates back to around 4500 years. This historic burial monument is one of Irelands most well-known Dolmens, and guests can relish in the fact that they have a very important part of history on their doorstep. Just across the road from the cottage is the Dolmen Centre, where you can learn all about times gone by, and how our ancestors came to build these iconic structures that decorate our landscape today. Also opposite the Dolmen Centre is the Kilclooney Tavern, where food and drink are available. Just a short drive away is the seaside resort of Narin, home to a shop and pub, and the glorious Blue Flag beach where you can laze about making sandcastles with the children, take romantic strolls with your loved ones or simply enjoy an ice cream as you watch the tide drift in and out. The golf course is located next to the beach, and is one of Irelands most scenic courses, with the Atlantic Ocean as your backdrop. Just a few miles away is the charming heritage town of Ardara, home to a delightful selection of shops, pubs and craft shops not to mention bucket-loads of raw Donegal charm! A superb choice for your Donegal holiday.
Narin is a small village in Gweebarra Bay, on the west coast of County Donegal. There is great walking country here, with low hills and rolling bog land. Narin has a great sandy beach, ideal for watersports, bathing or just relaxing. Visit Ardara, Dungloe or Donegal Town, which are within driving distance.
