Casa Cela can be found in the picturesque village of Cela, in the heart of the countryside, near the Atlantic Coast of west Portugal. The house is approximately eighty-five kilometres from the nearest international airport of Lisbon Portela. Within walking distance, the village is home to minimarts for holiday provisions and welcoming bars and restaurants.
Take a walk in nature and discover the local flora and fauna on well-trodden trails. Seek sanctuary in the nearby medieval Alcobaca Monastery, a unesco World Heritage site. Visit a vineyard and take a bottle or two home with you.
The nearest beach is just seven kilometres from the holiday hot spot resort of Nazare, with an organised sandy beach and famous big waves; it attracts surfers from all over the world. Swim and snorkel in the crystal clear waters, or try your hand at jet skiing. A more leisurely way to spend the day is a relaxing boat cruise around the coast. Walk to the iconic Nazare lighthouse before a stroll around the historic old town of O Sitio, which is located on a cliff overlooking the beach.
