From your peaceful hillside home, the sandy beaches of the Adriatic Sea can be reached within approximately forty minutes by car. Cross the border and soak up the sun on the Italian coastline for a change of scenery. Make your way to Sistiana Bay, where you can spend the day swimming on the beach of Castelreggio, overlooked by the impressive Duino Cliffs. The beach is ideal for families, with activities such as boat tours available, as well as plenty of pizzerias and cafes, in case you decide to stay and watch the sun go down over the sparkling blue water.
Closer to home, the emerald-green river of Soča Valley is a majestic sight. Here, there are activities such as kayaking, rafting and canyoning to keep adventure seekers happy.
