The open plan living space on Villa Loren’s ground floor is cosy and inviting, with a lounge area featuring a flatscreen TV. Located nearby, Predjama Castle is an impressive Rennaissance structure built into the mouth of a cave on a dramatic cliffside. The limestone system of the Škocjan Caves is another awe-inspiring attraction that includes one of the world's largest known underground river canyons, making it a well-deserved unesco World Heritage site.
For many visitors to this diverse region, the sparkling waters of the nearby Adriatic Sea beckon. Within half an hour, you can drive through the peaceful countryside, cross the border and soak up the sun and relaxed ambience of the Italian coastline. Make your way to Sistiana Bay, where you can spend the day swimming on the beach of Castelreggio, overlooked by the Duino Cliffs. If you would prefer to stay in stunning Slovenia, drive a little further to reach the coastal gems of Koper and Izola.
