Park Bothy in Cheltenham offers a peaceful and private retreat with a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable furnishings, and a hot tub. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches like basic provisions on arrival and the property's dog-friendly garden. While some guests mention areas for improvement, the overall experience is one of relaxation and enjoyment in a beautiful location.
Cleanliness has received mixed feedback. While some guests found the property to be immaculate, others noted issues with dust, cobwebs, and pet hair. The inconsistency in cleanliness has led to a slightly above average score.
The location is highly praised for its quietness and proximity to local attractions in the Cotswolds. However, some guests found it more remote than expected, affecting transport options. Overall, the location is considered excellent for a peaceful retreat.
Comfort is generally well-regarded, with guests enjoying the cosy atmosphere and facilities. Some guests, however, found the sofa and bed to be uncomfortable, which slightly lowers the score.
Facilities are appreciated, especially the hot tub and well-appointed kitchen. Maintenance issues like non-working heaters and lack of firelighters have been mentioned, suggesting room for improvement in ensuring all facilities are in top condition.
Guests have noted thoughtful gestures such as the provision of basic supplies upon arrival. However, as these gifts are not guaranteed for every stay, they are a delightful bonus rather than an expectation.
