Tansley 1.5 miles. Shire Cottage is a charming barn conversion sat overlooking luscious Derbyshire countryside and the Ogston Reservoir, 1.5 miles from Tansley. Boasting homely décor, and with incredible outdoor opportunities, scenery and quaint towns nearby, this is a welcoming base, perfect for a small family to enjoy. Placed on the owner's working farm, enter this stone cottage on ground level, here you will find the inviting sitting room graced with a calming, neutral overtone and an electric woodburner adding a warming touch. A dining table rests to the side of the room, adjacent to the scenery-filled window showcasing wonderful countryside views. The light and airy kitchen is well-equipped and comes with colourful wall tiles, adding a country cottage effect. The ground floor is complete with a convenient cloakroom with a classy white finish. The property's two bedrooms lie on the first floor, the master room is under the sloping ceiling with exposed wooden beams and wondrous views offering a perfect sight to wake up to. The single room is ideal for a child or additional guest. Kick back and relax in a soothing bubble bath with the refreshing bathroom close at hand. A short drive brings you to the popular Matlock, Derbyshire's county town which offers a range of fine amenities, stunning architecture and the enthralling Gulliver's Kingdom sits itself just outside of the town. The astonishing Peak District National Park is slightly further west, providing a wealth of countryside, walking and cycling opportunities and a range of charming towns waiting to be explored. A delightful cottage in a wonderful Derbyshire location.
The village of Tansley is in the Derbyshire Dales, 2 miles from Matlock and is home to two pubs and several garden centres. Matlock is 2 miles away, popular for its warm springs, it provides eateries, shops, a museum. Leys Hall Park provides a setting for bowls, mini golf, tennis, boating and a play area. Enjoy a day at Gulliver's Kingdom with its owl maze, water gardens, nature trails, exhilarating rides and cable car trips over the Matlock Gorge. The High Peak Cycle Trail provides a wonderful experience, whilst Bakewell, Chatsworth House and Park and Haddon Hall are within reach.
