Chesterfield 3.4 miles. Swallows Barn a stunning barn conversion,resting on the edge of the peak district off the beaten track or tourist trail near the village of Holymoorside Derbyshire. Boasting a fantastic and secluded location just a short drive away from the Peak District National Park, whilst also enjoying access to the cities of Sheffield and Chesterfield, Swallows Barn is a marvellous base for a getaway for a family of four or a romantic retreat for couples. Upon arrival, make your way down a lengthy, private driveway to find five generous parking spaces, before taking in the delightful surroundings and heading inside. Make your way through the lovely abode to find a beautifully decorated living/dining room, with charming, exposed beams adorning the ceiling and plush seating and toasty under floor heating and a Smart TV, the perfect space for relaxation. Continue to the kitchen, a space offering an aspiring chef the essentials they need to rustle up culinary delights, which can be enjoyed in the living/dining room or next door in the sunny conservatory. After savouring a meal, grab a seat in the pleasant sunroom and spend some time with your loved ones; why not open a bottle of wine and enjoy a post-dinner tipple? Before bed, place any old clothing in the external utility's washing machine, a space also offering a fridge/freezer, and freshen up in the handy cloakroom. Choose from two well-presented bedrooms to rest in, including a ground-floor super-king-size with an en-suite bathroom, and twin room with an en-suite shower room. Why not settle yourself down with a game of cards in the music room looking out over the beautiful fields of Swallows Barn and the view down towards the River Hipper. A scenic drive south will bring you to the picturesque town of Matlock, home the Peak Rail, the stunning grounds of Hall Leys Park, along with being set near the marvellous Peak District Mining Museum, Gulliver's Kingdom and the Derwent Gardens in Matlock Bath. Travel into the Peak District National Park to find an array of quaint towns and villages, including the market town of Bakewell, where you can find the fantastic heritage museum of The Old House, the historic and scenic marvel of Bakewell Bridge, along with the winding River Wye that offers a riverside walk or cycle. The Peak District has so much more to offer, with Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Curbar Edge and Padley Gorge all within easy reach. Chesterfield is a historic market town that serves as the entrance to the Peak District and has a great deal to offer visitors. The town's regular bustling market days are an excellent opportunity to explore the many diverse specialty shops and stalls that line the ancient Market Hall and lovely Shambles beyond. Queens Park, with its lake, walking paths, and summer bandstand, as well as a museum and theatre, are also located in the town.
