It is located next to the owners’ home, in the centre of the wonderful conservation village of Ashover, renowned as one of the prettiest villages in Derbyshire. The area is valued for the stunning countryside that surrounds it. Ashover itself is home to three village pubs, all serving good food, and one winning an award from camra, it is even rumoured to be home to a couple of ghosts. The Ashover Audio Trail can be downloaded and followed around the village bringing it to life, and the popular Ashover Show takes place every August.

Further afield, the Peak District National Park and surrounding area holds a whole host of attractions and places to visit, including Matlock, Matlock Bath and the superb cable car ride to the Heights of Abraham, all are just 15 minutes away. The ever popular market town of Bakewell, home to the magnificent historic houses of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall, and Carsington Water with its watersports and cycle hire, can be reached within a 30-minute drive. Perfect for thrillseekers, Alton Towers is approximately an hour away. Shop 530 yards, pub and restaurant 165 yards.
