Woodlands Farm, in a scenic elevated location, forms part of a stone-built barn conversion just outside of the Derbyshire village of Millington Green. Boasting cosy accommodation for six people, this is a fine base for families, couples or friends wishing to tour the countryside and fascinating market towns of Derbyshire and the Peak District. The entrance hall boasts traditional quarry tile flooring and exposed ceiling beams, setting the characterful feel which runs through this property. A useful cloakroom sits ahead, whilst turning right you will discover the country-cottage-style kitchen/diner, well-equipped with charming cream-coloured units and a dining table set for six. Adjacent to this rests a wonderful sitting room which features a Smart TV and a tremendous woodburning stove, the snug sofas are placed perfectly for admiring the luscious countryside views through the patio doors. Woodlands Farm's three bedrooms are finished in contemporary styles, one of which has zip/link beds and soothing rural vistas to admire as you wake up. Nearby Ashbourne is a market town boasting an cobbled alleys, market stalls and fine inns and restaurants. The town is also regarded as an antique haven. Foroutdoor pursuits, Carsington Water is a renowned water sports centre offering sailing and activities including walking, bird watching, cycling and bridleways, Alton Towers is 45 minutes away.

The location is remote however clear directions were provided. The owners made the home welcoming with lots of thoughtful touches. The main parts to note were the beds were very comfortable and the shower was modern and powerful. The accommodation is larger than the photographs appear but lots of amenities. The only negative was the WiFi wasnât great however thatâs to be expected in a remote location. Overall a great stay at a reasonable price!

It was well equipped throughout the house, Lots of entertainment, games, dvdâs etc. A lovely welcome gift of Prosecco and home baked cakes from Jo the host and a disposable bbq. Very comfortable beds and lots of seating in the living room. Perfect location for visiting all of the Peak District. Would definitely recommend and will definitely return for another stay.
