The village of Cromford lies just 1 mile from the spa town of Matlock Bath and 3 miles from Matlock.  Famous for its connections with Sir Richard Arkwright and the cotton trade, and often referred to as the cradle of the industrial revolution, Cromford has a great selection of pubs, shops, restaurants and cafés.  It also has an award-winning beauty salon offering relaxing treatments, a renowned book sellers (Scarthin Books) and a chocolatier.  Arkwright’s historic Cromford Mill is a short walk away near the scenic canal basin and houses a museum and specialist shops.  The immediate local area boasts an abundance of attractions such as the Heights of Abraham with its own cable cars, the Peak District Mining Museum, Masson Mill and many walks with stunning rural views.  The more ac. . .
