Alford 2 miles. A well-presented, spacious semi-detached cottage in the hamlet of Ailby, two miles from the town of Alford. Set at the foot of the Lincolnshire Wolds, with easy access to many amenities, Primrose Cottage, makes a perfect romantic retreat for a couple to explore this fantastic county. On entering the property, you will notice how spacious it is. There is a pleasant double bedroom with extra seating. The well-equipped kitchen has a good-sized dining table, making it perfect for those romantic nights in. The sitting room is spacious with plenty of comfy seating; perfect to relax after a full day out and about exploring the area. French doors take you out the patio with furniture, which then leads up to an enclosed lawned garden. From the garden there is a gate leading out to the adjacent camping area. Within this area there is a fishing pond to use which have a good selection of fish including tench, bream, rudd and carp. There is also a grass tennis court and a cricket net set up for the summer months if you are feeling active. There is plenty of lovely woodland to explore either by foot or by bike including a historic disused railway line, which once was used by the Flying Scotsman. The property is within easy reach of the town of Alford which is home to plenty of shops and pubs as well as weekly markets. For something different, why not visit the Grade 1 listed working windmill which is still in use or take a visit to Alford Manor House, with its lovely gardens and exhibits. For the more energetic, you can take a trip into the Lincolnshire Wolds and enjoy the local walks and cycle routes available. Further afield takes you to the seaside resorts of Mablethorpe and Skegness with great sandy beaches and plenty of fun things to see and do. For something different, take a trip to the towns of Louth or Horncastle which are famous for their regular street and farmers market. Primrose Cottage is a great place to have a great holiday at any time of the year, where you will be spoilt for choice in what you do.
Alford is a market town in Lincolnshire. It is set at the foot of the Lincolnshire Wolds, and is about 11 miles north-west of the coastal resort of Skegness. There is a wide range of shops including a pharmacy, grocers and two butchers. Alford has become an important centre for arts and crafts with many markets held throughout the year. The main market is held in the Market Place every Tuesday with the craft market being held every August bank holiday.

Excellent enclosed garden for dog. Super quiet location. Lots of walks direct from door. Situated best of both worlds - walks/nature and short drive to long sandy beaches.
