About this property

Lincoln Hall is a glamorous, immaculately renovated home, offering everything you could want for an unforgettable holiday. From the moment you arrive, this stunning property welcomes you in, a destination in its own right! Whether you spend your time entertaining in the stunning open-plan kitchen, relaxing in the indulgent hot tub, or soaking in some British sunshine in the beautiful, landscaped garden, there is something for everyone at this impressive holiday home.

Located in the heart of Lincoln, you can spot the Cathedral from the south side of the property, with the historic Bailgate/Castle Square a short walk away. Ideal for enjoying bustling shops and restaurants, you have everything you could need within walking distance.

The hall was originally the family home of the renowned Victorian architect William Watkins, who designed and built the house himself in 1875. He resided here whilst he was Mayor of Lincoln and none of the charm and character of that period has been lost. In 2017, the house underwent a massive redevelopment, adding some modern-day luxuries and carefully restoring all the original features.

Spread over three fabulous floors, every corner of this property is carefully designed, catering to your every comfort. The furnishings are stylish and modern throughout, with impressive features providing an atmosphere of grandeur. This vast property comfortably sleeps sixteen guests, with six spacious bedrooms, including a fun kids bunk room and four bathrooms.

As part of the renovations, there is a stunning 500 square foot kitchen and dining area, that connects elegantly with the landscaped gardens. There is a children’s playroom, snug and utility room all maintaining the effortless blend of character and modern features.

Stepping out to the picturesque garden there is plenty of space to spread out, play and relax, a perfect holiday retreat. With space to dine outside and a barbecue on offer, this is a fabulous space in the summer months. With something for everyone, this magnificent home is perfect for your stay away, an unforgettable holiday location!

For a city break, Lincoln Hall offers a great destination. Shopping, art and architecture flood this historic city with charm, with plenty to see and do during your stay.

The property itself is located within sight of the Cathedral and walking distance from its Cathedral Quarter, known locally as ‘Uphill’. Steep Hill has been voted Britain’s Great Street, which connects ‘downhill’ and ‘uphill’ Lincoln. The street is as steep as the name suggests, yet it is still well worth the walk!

Lincoln combines its rich history with a wealth of arts and culture. The magnificent Lincoln Cathedral is a towering structure, which can be seen from much of the city and is often considered to be one of the UK’s most remarkable pieces of architecture. In fact, it has stood in for Westminster Cathedral in several TV shows and movies.

Afternoons are best spent ambling around the pretty, cobbled streets, taking in the Tudor town houses, ancient city gates and elegant architecture that stretches into every corner of the city. independent boutique shops have arisen amongst the old buildings, with live music venues, theatres and galleries to explore. There are of course plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from, as well as the option to hire a private chef to prepare you dinner at Lincoln Hall.

When you want to escape the hustle and bustle, Lincoln sits surrounded by lovely countryside, with endless opportunities for long walks and cycles around the charming market towns and quiet villages. The Fossdyke canal trail offers pretty scenery and an easy-to-follow route, whilst Hartsholme Country Park boasts 100-acres of parkland with Victorian landscaped gardens, a lake and woods as well as nature trails and a lovely café.
