Nestled within a beautiful, detached manor house in the peaceful village of Burton Coggles, is this splendid annexe, surrounded by its own picturesque gardens, to be admired all-year-round with the added bonus of its own outdoor swimming pool. This gorgeous three-bedroomed wing of the main house is perfectly suited to those looking to explore a wonderful area of Lincolnshire, with the lovely town of Grantham and vibrant city of Peterborough within easy reach. Step into the superb interior from the delights of the pretty garden to the rear, where double doors welcome you into a homely setup, with a lovely dining area positioned adjacent to the kitchen. Here you will find a collection of luxurious, fitted units and stylishly modern appliances assisting your every need. Washing facilities are available for your convenience, as well as a ground floor cloakroom tucked away at the foot of the porch. Make your way to the sitting room; a chic composition occupying a wall-mounted TV, large plush sofas and thoughtful attention to detail, ensuring you get the most out of your stay. Throw open the patio doors on a summers' day to bring the outside in and enjoy the warmth of the charming woodburning stove on those cooler evenings. The local area has an award-winning gastro pub the Cholmeley Arms, should you fancy stopping off for a refreshing drink, whilst the Woodhouse Pub is within walking distance and offers delicious meals; the next village along provides a convenience store amongst other amenities. Travel a short way to Corby Glenn, where two lovely cafes, March Hare and Lavender Hut await; be sure to sample a tasty treat at one of these! If you want to travel further afield, Grantham offers a service rail to Kings-cross London in just under one hour. The further surrounding area has much to be explored including historic properties such as Belton House and Grimsthorpe Castle, gentle walks in abundance and a wealth of culture waiting to be discovered in the city of Peterborough. Rutland Water Nature Reserve is close by, as well as the pretty market town of Oakham and Stamford, which offers passageways, market squares and the high street with something to suit everyone, Stamford is also home to Burghley House. If you’re after a day out in the city, London and Nottingham can be easily reached via train from Grantham. This country-style property is just what you need for that well-deserved break away from home!
Find Burton-le-Coggles, a charming Conservation Area Village on the outskirts of Stamford in the South Lincolnshire countryside. The village has a Grade II listed Anglican parish church, a village hall, and the award-winning Cholmeley Arms country bar, while nearby Corby Glen has more amenities. Easton Walled Gardens, a neighbouring site, is definitely worth a visit, lying in a lovely rolling valley with the rumbles of the A1 hidden behind a belt of trees, holding a wealth of decorative outbuildings, shrubberies, meadows, and a rose garden, all set in a colourful and vibrant environment.
Three bedrooms: 1 x double, 1 x family room with double and single, 1 x family room with 2 x single (the singles are zip and link and can be made into a superking but this request needs a week's notice).
