Shower room: With shower cubicle, toilet and heated towel rail.. Electric underfloor heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi and logs for wood burner included. Welcome pack. Enclosed gravelled area with garden furniture. 40-acre grounds and Scandinavian barbecue hut (by arrangement with owners). Private parking for 1 car. No smoking. Please note: There is a lake in the grounds.. This beautiful and caringly created Shepherd’s Hut is situated within the stunning grounds of Astwell Mill, a once working mill that finished its production in 1929. It is now a working sheep farm, with horses and countless kinds of wildlife that inhabit the beautiful grounds and its lake. Astwell Mill Shepherd’s Hut gives guests a unique chance to wind down and relax whilst taking in the breath-taking scenery and everything this amazing piece of Northamptonshire landscape has to offer. Astwell Mill is close to so many fantastic places to visit, including multiple National Trust properties, some of which include Canons Ashby House and Stowe Gardens. A little further afield is the stunning Blenheim Palace, perfect for a day out, or alternatively visit the once secret site of the World War Two Codebreakers at Bletchley Park. Situated just a 15-minute drive away is also Silverstone, the home of Formula 1 in the UK and a must see for any car enthusiast. Silverstone hosts multiple events each year some of the most popular being the British Grand Prix, the motogp and Silverstone Classic Cars. Astwell Mill Shepherd’s Hut is also ideal for enjoying the countryside with countless walking trails and cycle options in addition to lots of places to stop for a drink or a bite to eat. After a day of exploring everything the area has to offer you can relax in style with the hut’s cosy underfloor heating throughout and wood burner. Snuggle up with a good book or just take in the views whilst the fire flickers. Afterwards retire to bed and watch the stars through the hut’s sky light whilst you drift off to sleep.
