Guests say

Hillcrest Cottage in Lincolnshire receives high praise for its cleanliness, comfort, and peaceful location. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities, secure garden, and thoughtful touches, including welcome packs. The property is ideal for dog owners and those seeking a relaxing stay.

Reviewers consistently mention the spotless condition of the cottage, indicating a very high standard of cleanliness that contributes positively to their overall experience.

The property is appreciated for its peaceful and quiet village setting, with easy access to local attractions and nature reserves. One mention of a nearby decommissioned power station suggests the location is not perfect for everyone, but this does not detract significantly from the overall positive feedback.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, highlighting the quality of the beds and the cosy atmosphere. The spaciousness and the secure garden add to the comfort, especially for dog owners.

The cottage is well-furnished with good quality items and a well-equipped kitchen. The large garden is frequently mentioned as a positive feature. However, one guest suggested the need for a place to hang wet clothes, indicating a slight room for improvement in facilities.

Many reviewers express gratitude for the thoughtful welcome packs provided by the hosts. While these gifts are highly appreciated, it is politely noted that such gestures, though common, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Our hosts made us feel welcome right from the start. We ordered cream tea from them one evening and it was delicious! Would definitely recommend other guests do the same. It was so peaceful at night too. Wasn't too far to Lincoln for a day trip out as well. Was great to see that you can now get into the grounds of Lincoln Castle without having to pay. Did a ghost walk around Lincoln too at night, Definitely another thing to try if you're there. Very clean and tidy property with everything we needed.
