The Coach House, situated on the owners grounds, has a private outlook onto the owner’s orchard where you can enjoy a drink on a sunny day. Bring your racket and have a competitive game of tennis on the grounds private tennis courts.

There are some lovely walks into the countryside from the village or bring your bikes, which can be stored in the adjacent barns, to get further afield and stop off at one of the many country pubs. Close by is the market town of Banbury with a traditional shopping centre and an array of pubs and restaurants. A short drive will find you in the pretty towns and villages of the Cotswolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, where you can stop off at country pubs and independent shops. Just over half an hours drive is the towns of Chipping Norton and Woodstock, home of Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. For shopaholics, visit Bicester shopping villages with 100’s of designer outlet stores, 22 miles away. There are many stately and historic houses close by including Sulgrave Manor, Althorp House and National Trusts Canons Ashby. Also in easy reach is Shakespeare’s Stratford-upon-Avon, 29 miles away, where you can visit the Royal Shakespeare Company Theatre and his birthplace.

A local travelling butcher’s van calls at the property every Saturday. Fresh meat (including award-winning sausages), vegetables, fruit (locally grown strawberries in the summer) and home made cakes are all on board, along with a few provisions (jams etc).
