Some noted issues with maintenance and Wi-Fi, but the overall experience was relaxing, with many looking to return.

The majority of guests found the lodge to be very clean and well-presented, with only a few mentioning minor cleanliness issues such as dust in the sauna and smeary mirrors. The positive comments on cleanliness far outweigh the negatives.

Guests found the lodge comfortable, with a super kitchen, comfortable lounge, and high-quality furnishings. Some guests mentioned the need for non-slip mats in the shower and more comfortable garden furniture, but overall, the comfort level was high.

Facilities like the hot tub, sauna, and swimming pool were highlights, though some guests encountered maintenance issues with the hot tub and sauna door. Wi-Fi was a common complaint, and some guests mentioned the need for better instructions for the hot tub.

Many guests appreciated the thoughtful welcome packs, which often included items like Prosecco, eggs, and chocolates. However, it should be noted that such gifts, while appreciated, are subject to availability and not guaranteed.

In addition the gates are locked from 11 pm to 7.30am which meant leaving the care in the village , a 10 minute walk as we had an early start. The lodge was warm and clean with chocolates, tea, coffee and Prosecco on arrival.

Large outdoor space, garden furniture and hot tub were well used during our stay. We’ve already booked to stay again, having enjoyed it so much.
